Insignia Air Fryer - 5L/5.28QT - Black- Only at Best Buy

I purchased the air fryer about a year ago. It really does a good job when working. All of a sudden, it just stopped working. I called support who tells me that even though the 1year warranty was over, there was a 45day extension and I will be contacted to get it fixed or replaced. No one called back after a month. I called back and was told that the agent I spoke with must have made a mistake, and so they wont be doing anything about it. Come on! Really! I'm so disappointed right now. Looks like the product was designed to work just for the warranty period! I'm looking to get a new air fryer as I've gotten so used to cooking with one, but it's definitely not going to be Insignia.

Was completely sceptical about this unit. It turned out to be the best gift we didn’t realize we needed. So far we cooked salmon fillets- perfect in 8-10 minutes. Roasted vegetables (cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, carrots)- crispy on the outside but tender on the inside and not dried out. Cooked chicken strips, freezer fries and toasted cheese buns. We have reheated sausage rolls and dry ribs. All turning out great. We are a family of 5 so we needed a big unit. Clean up is easy. I did find parchment circles at the dollar store for messier items. This appliance is a game changer for our family. We plan to get rid of our toaster oven so we can keep this on our counter.

Don't buy this item. The basket design is faulty. When I tried to get support help from Insignia(Best Buy) they told me the handle and basket was not warranable. Even though it was within one year warranty period. Three screws hold the basket in place and when I seek help one screw was the problem now only one screw hold the basket in place and soon that will fail as well. What happens is the heat from the fryer causes the plastic holding the basket on the handle to become brittle and fail and the screws can no longer hold the baskets in place properly.

We bought this on sale and we love it! The basket is big enough for a full bag of chicken tenders or French fries and cooks everything easily. We even tried a steak and it was alright! My one tiny complaint is that the basket is a bit awkward and not level when you put it on the counter to fill or remove your food but it’s very minor and we are very happy with our purchase. The instructions are easy and the manual tells you how to cook your most popular items. It’s easy to clean but NOT dishwasher safe, although I’m sure it would do ok in the dishwasher. If your looking to try an air fryer this is a great and easy first pick with a price point to match!

I had my doubts but am a believer now. No setup, just plug & go. Instructions are straightforward - pop your food in, turn it on & relax. Got ambitious & cooked a whole chicken. I set it on the chicken preset & flipped the bird when the timer went off for a second run. It came out perfectly! Nice & crispy on the outside & moist & tender on the inside! Clean up was a breeze! We will be eating in more often now! Planning on trying some ribs & fish on the weekend. I might try some sweet potato fries too. Yes! I took pictures & shared among my friends! Some hove made their own purchase! I should get a commission! It's a great investment!
