  • Overpriced but Works

I have a curved 24” Samsung monitor for my home office and needed to add a second monitor to help with eye strain from using my laptop as a second screen. The issue I found was that my docking station doesn’t have two HDMI ports and the Samsung monitor only has HDMI or VGA inputs even though the Best Buy description states it has the display port. I purchased this cable so I could utilize the Samsung’s HDMI. The picture is great and it works fine. My issue was that it is very overpriced (IMO). I could have gotten one much cheaper off of Amazon, but I didn’t want to wait for delivery since it would have been several days.

  • Cable was a lifesaver
Verified BuyerReviewed by HappyCustomer - November 29, 2018

My son graduated high school last year. During his celebration, we wanted to do a slideshow. However, my old PC projector, which hadn't been plugged up in 20 years, was not up to the task with today's technology. I was scrambling for a solution when I stumbled upon this cable that would hook my MacBook Pro laptop up to the television set. It was my fault for not testing the old equipment but this saved the day and gave the family a great slideshow! It was very inexpensive compared to other potential solutions and of course an extremely easy setup. My family continues to use it. Very happy with this purchase

  • Decent cable to link Mac to HDMI TV display
    Verified BuyerReviewed by Chor21 - September 10, 2016

Overall, the cable did the job of connecting my Mac to our HDMI input on our TVs so we could watch streaming content (on out non-smart TVs). It was the cheaper option to AppleTV. I also own a Google Chromecast, but of course, you can't stream iTunes movies and some online content on Chromecast (yet). My only complaint is that when watching live streaming video such as the Rio Olympics, the cable seemed to cut out the sound. Not sure if the bandwidth of the cable isn't high enough or the cable housing is cheap. Downloaded content works fine. Until various media support both AppleTV and Chromecast, this is a good and inexpensive option to watch online content from Mac on your TV.
