- Works great, easy to use- April 18, 2020
Needed this item to connect a monitor so I could work at home with my work computer. Works perfectly, easy to connect and has the correct plug-ins. The cord length is just what I needed. Other adapters come without cords and are hard to keep plugged in and more vulnerable to damage when moving the computer. This one plugs in with just the HDMI plugin and the cord and there are no issues with moving the computer. It's the same as any other cord that's plugged in. I thought this one was a little expensive but didn't want to wait for a couple of weeks to receive cheaper options. Am glad I got this because of the cord length and ease of use.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- HMDI to DVI cable to get the job done- October 7, 2019
Getting a new video cable isn't very sexy, but when a video adapter fails and your second monitor no longer works, a quality cable suddenly matters a lot. The Insignia cable is a bit pricey for "just a cable" and the DVI connector may seem a bit short compared to competing brands. However, the cable is well built and the short DVI connector is actually an advantage; it doesn't stick out and when nicely screwed tight to the monitor's port. After a wild goose hunt for faulty drivers, video card device failures etc, I replaced the adapter by this Insignia cable. It brought my second back to life again.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Works With My Older Computer- May 9, 2019
I had an older Dell computer that did not have any HDMI ports. I wanted to connect it to an extra Sony flat-screen I had which did not have AVI ports. This cable solved my problem and works perfectly. The sad part of the story is I initially forgot I had a AVI cable that connected my computer to a computer monitor. There is an adapter that costs less than this cable and can be used to "adapt" one end of the AVI cable and make it into a HDMI plug. So, if you have an AVI cable I would suggest going that route. Live and learn.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
