- Modern 80mm fan- June 19, 2018
80mm fans are ubiquitous in most MicroATX and ATX computer cases, and whether your PC is in a dusty home, a test lab, or you have a house with furry critters, eventually your fans will get noisy because the bearings will go out (in some cases, a careless jab can shatter a fan blade, but that's another story.) Given four screws worth of turning effort and a little bit of elbow grease with a Philips head, that's usually all you need (along with a replacement fan) to get your system quiet and cooler again. It's typically not worth looking for ball bearing fans given the price difference with sleeve bearing fans - get some of these and save a few bucks.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Relatively quiet case fan- August 5, 2014
The 3-pin connecting wire is about 6 inches shorter than the original fan's. This fan mounts on the side panel of the case, and the wire would not reach the motherboard with the panel open for access. I had to use the 4-pin adaptor that came with it to connect it to a power supply cable instead of the 3-pin connector on the motherboard. I was disappointed by this aspect of the product.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Works Great!- June 25, 2016
The fan on my old computer died so this was a nice replacement for a good price. It seems to be doing a better job than the previous one and it runs relatively quiet. I've never installed a computer fan before so I don't know if it's standard, but there are no threads on the fan and you need to force screw it in. It's easy to do, just a heads up if you didn't knowYes, I would recommend this to a friend.
