- Works great and great price let's hope it lasts- December 30, 2020
I just got this hub today, and I know it's way to early to review it - but - I came to say that it plugged right into my mac book pro retina and I am running a usb headset for work, my external hard drive which i have run three time machine backups back to back simultaneously, i have my iphone 12 pro connected and recognized, and a usb keyboard all at the same time. Everything functions perfectly. I have no idea about connecting tablets and other devices but this little guy is nailing it for what I need. Will travel nicely in the laptop case to use anywhere. (please note that macbook pro usb ports provide more power than standard usb's on windows computers)Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Will NOT work with PlayStation!- November 17, 2020
Okay, so I’m a little harsh with the stars here, but I want to make this clear as I saw another review that directly contradicts the facts. This will not work with a PlayStation 4/5. All devices that I’ve plugged into this except for the Gold headphones immediately result in a message stating that they have to be plugged directly into the PlayStation (external hard drive) or are simply unrecognized (camera or vr headset connections). It isn’t the hubs fault. It works fine when connected to a PC, but I want this out there to warn other people away who were hoping to solve the issue of a severe lack of ports on the Sony’s device. No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
- A good USB hub...for the most part- May 18, 2017
I purchased this USB hub because as a photographer, I have a good number of portable USB drives to hold my images. I needed a decent USB hub so I could have multiple external hard drives connected to my computer. This hub works well for that, provided I only plug two into it at a time. When I try to use a third USB drive with this hub, it won't stay connected and drops out after awhile. Not sure if this is just a problem with the drives drawing too much power from the hub or something else. If you are going to plug in multiple high power drawing devices, I would suggest skipping this hub and getting one that is powered. No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
