iRobot Braava Jet m Series Dry Sweeping Pads - 7 Pack - White

You can see in the product image that these pads have three rows on them. It appears on this page that they're all made of the same microfiber material, but that is NOT the case with the pads I received. Instead, one of the rows is made of a shiny plastic that does absolutely NOTHING. It's plastic ... dust/debris/pet hair can't stick to it. So essentially only 2/3 of the pad is actually doing something. Why the heck were they made like this?!

I started using Braava Jet m6 over a month now. I bought all the washable and disposable dry and wet sweeping pads for comparison purposes and for trying to save money. I found that the disposable dry sweeping pads are handy and do a pretty good job in cleaning the floor. However, I noticed that when the pad is half way dirty, dust would start coming off during part of the job. However, it does trap the rest of the dust on the pad. I tried the washable dry pads for a few times as well but I felt that the dust would come off more when I handle it after the job. Since I am allergic to dust, I can't really hand wash it myself. Therefore, I like the disposable ones more but I kind of feeling that it is not very environmental friendly by throwing the thick pad in the garbage bin after it gets dirty. Also, the cost is relatively high for the 7-pack. I would need to use it strategically to feel better. However, its performance is satisfactory!

These are great to do a quick floor dusting. Initially I didn’t have the washable pad, and these are a reasonable price to repurchase anyway. They’re pretty equivalent to swiffer pads, and the device knows that it’s in “dry mode” when these are installed (it won’t squirt the fluid).
