- Another Studio Ghibli classic- 8 décembre 2017
Disney had previously issued most of Studio Ghibli's catalogue on Blu-ray, but these releases have since gone out of print. GKIDS has since reissued most of them and is in the process of getting more of the catalogue out. Kiki's Delivery Service is one of Ghiblu's best known classic titles, and the simplistic yet effective story holds up well here, with memorable characters, scenes, and beautiful hand-drawn art. The Blu-ray image quality is spectacular as well, and the disc offers many bonus features. This probably isn't worth the double dip if you already got the older Disney Blu-ray, but if you don't own the film yet, this is a must buy.

So first of all I just want to point out that I'm a huge fan of all these films and couldn't wait to add this to my Bluray collection. HOWEVER, this film in particular isn't quite like how it was originally. Once Disney purchased the rights they redid the film with different VA and even made some changes I am (and others are) not a fan of. Just know that this film differs from the original translated version. The movie is still great, but I knocked a star off because it just doesn't feel as enjoyable as the earlier film. (For the record, the changes were made to make the film more in line with the original Japanese version, but I still prefer the original translated version)

I've watched hundreds of films throughout my life, yet few of them are as relatable as Kiki's Delivery Service. This cute film explores the world through a 12 yr old witch named Kiki and her adventure as she moves into a new town and the struggles she faced. As a college student I can be the first one to admit that change takes time to get used to, and that it's certainly not easy either. The sweetness of the film and the relatability makes it by far one of my favorite Ghibli films ever!!!
