I always enjoyed toys about outer space and Lego. With the launch of the new rocket to send astronauts the the space station I decided to get this set. The build wasn't difficult and I took my time on it. I did make a change with the rear center tire, I moved it back and raised the launcher to allow the wheel to move freely. It made the launcher not tip backward when raising the rocket. I have a set of Lego bricks (which i purchased about 13 years ago) that allowed for the upgrade and I was amazed that there was no difference in the colors of the old bricks with the new. I liked that this set has plenty of buildings, accessories and mini-figures which make the set more enjoyable. I'm planning on getting more of the City Space sets.

  • This set is awesome!

The sets in this space theme are stellar. I couldn't buy all of them, so I had to pick the best ones, including this set. The transport with treads is a clever mashup of the NASA crawler and Russia's horizontal transport train that tilts the rocket into position at the launch pad. We also get a nice control room, a fully decked rover "clean room", and a little truck. All the play features (there are a bunch) make for hours of fun. The octagonal pieces between each section make for easy connections with the rocket/space station modules in the other space sets. There's so much play potential here!! The only negative aspect I encountered is the rover lift in the clean room. It moves smoothly but doesn't stay in a convenient, stable position. Aside from that, this set is awesome!

Purchased this set for my 5 year old son. We had a lot of fun building it. Great toy to play with for kids and if it breaks down, it is easy to fix :) I had to modify the height for the crane, it was too low and was difficult to play with. While I personally prefer more complex (adult oriented) sets, this is a good set.
