- Raced Through It- August 5, 2020
Overall, I am quite happy with my purchase of this beautiful piano 5 minutes before it was released. The process was quite straightforward and I didn't have any difficulties racing through it as I had memorised the instructions for majority of the piece with my pianistic memory. I am definitely happy with the result, although I would say the mechanics need some time to loosen up for the keys to work smoothly. I love the overall size, although @Lego, this is considered a Baby Grand rather than a Grand Piano, maybe consider enlarging the product into a 9-foot concert grand next time? But overall I love it and am happy that I stayed up to get it!Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Disappointed- December 7, 2020
I bought this set for my son's birthday thinking it was a playable piano since that's how it was marketed by Lego. Imagine our disappointment to find out this is NOT a playable piano at all! I didn't think Lego would engage in false advertising, but I guess I was wrong. My son was so excited to compose his own music for the piano to play, but after "playing" the couple of pre-programmed songs through his phone, he was done with this product. It's a beautiful piece once built but definitely not worth the money. Incredibly disappointed in Lego's marketing and customer service when I reached out to them with my feedback. No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
- Amaaaaazing!!- January 10, 2021
We have room dedicated to Legos in our home and my husband and kids are Lego fanatics. Yet, this was MY first set and I absolutely loved building it. I'm a musician by trade, a pianist and band teacher teacher. I love the detail and I loved seeing it come together. I purposely took my time to build this to savor all the fine details. I'm in awe. I do have one complaint, why don't they use the correct written music in the app? They have the music on the Lego part that sits on the piano, but none of the songs actually match what is being played in the app. This seems like a small detail that was overlooked and can still be remedied. Everything else is better than hoped for.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
