Far too slow for a 'premium' card

First of all, the picture is incorrect. This is NOT a U3 card, it is U1. I recently bought three of these, and after some testing, returned two of them, unopened. Ratings are just numbers, though. In practical terms, this card *barely* passes muster at 20MB/sec in sustained, optimized write testing. In the field, there is a full two-second delay when my camera's buffer is full, before I can take another picture when using this card. It doesn't even accomplish its full (poor) write speed for almost ten seconds! Yes, this is incredibly cheap - but if it bogs down your shooting, it's not saving you anything.

MISLEADING PICTURE! This is *NOT* a U3 card, and is NOT fast!

According to the picture here, this is a 95MB/s, SDHC, UHC-1, U3, Class 10 card. If you understand that mouthful of jargon, then you'll understand this: They are *NOT* U3 cards at all - Lexar doesn't make SDHC U3 cards, only SDXC U3. Which means what, precisely? That this card is *SLOW*! It is barely half the speed of my OLD Sandisk Extreme Plus, which is rated U1 and 80MB/sec. With the Sandisk, I get 58 shots in 30 seconds. With this supposedly faster Lexar, I get 33. I bought three of these cards because I wanted something faster, but they fail drastically. Avoid. Don't waste your money. Walk away.

Lexar Pro 633X accolades

Love this memory card... have six for my own use in my cameras. The speed of the card is greater than the camera's write speeds. That means the camera writes at full speed with no bogging down. Getting the information off the card and onto the computer is also very speedy. The picture quality is always top notch for my equipment. I use a Canon Rebel XSi and find this card performs beyond my expectations. It also has soooo much space that I can now take way too many photos... but that is not a handicap. My son and best friend now use them as well.
