Decent 4K TV when On Sale

This LG 32" model is a decent 4K Smart TV for the price when it is on sale, but not so much at regular price. The picture quality is good if you disable most of the automatic enhancement s and manually adjust the picture settings to your room environment. The sound quality is typical of built-in speakers and you can adjust with the equalizer settings. The 3 HDMI input ports are good, but there is no analog audio output (only optical port on 43" model) if you have a soundbar with only analog input. Both WiFi and Ethernet network connections are provided and you can plug in an external USB drive. The best feature is the WebOS Smart TV functionality with apps for web browser, YouTube, Netflix, Crackle, Google movies, DLNA streaming, Miracast mirroring, etc. WebOS and apps stay updated with new versions. This TV is pretty good for cord-cutters. Another reviewer said that, every time you turn the TV on, it defaults to the "live TV". Contrary to this statement, my TV remembers the last input selected and defaults back to the same input when you turn on the TV. Hence, you can just select an HDMI input even without a signal and you will not get a screen of "snow" when you turn it on.

Good for price.... but I returned it.

This TV looked great in the store. However, at home, it seemed dim, I tried to bring the brightness up.. but the white got oversaturated. eventually, I found that turning off the power saver brought the brightness back to how I expected it to look like. But, what I found extremely annoying (and the reason why I returned my TV) is that every time you turn the TV on, it defaults to the "live TV". Since I'm under 40, I do not have cable! this is a smart TV, it has Netflix, PLEX and that's all I want. This TV is in my bedroom, and having it turn on to "white static noise" each time I turn the TV on is beyond stupid. so I returned it for the Samsung. the Samsung turns on to the last app you were on.
