Great, except for terrible white uniformity

I bought this TV based on the glowing reviews it got everywhere. Yes, it has stunning contrast and amazing blacks... But, when the screen is white, at least on the set I had, the side edges were distinctly pinky-orange while the centre was more blue, and no amount of tweaking could change the lack of uniformity. Unfortunately, I use my TV as a computer monitor a lot of the time, and so stare at a lot of white screens. Sadly disappointing. OLED isn't quite mature enough for this use in my opinion. It would probably be ok just for watching movies though. Had to return my set. I will get a more traditional LED LCD instead, although I look forward to the next generation of OLEDs that will hopefully fix this issue.

The best TV. The best picture.

I love this set. I bought it in Nov. 2017 and have been enjoying it daily for the past 2-1/2 months. The picture is essentially flawless. The only, only thing I've seen that isn't, is with a just off-black screen, there is some irregularity and faint black lines visible. I've never seen it with actual content so not a big deal and certainly nothing compared to imperfections noted with every LED/LCD set I've owned over the past 10 yrs. I sit about 5 to 6 feet back from this set and when viewing 4K HDR content it makes everything else look pathetic by comparison. I almost asked for a refund recently when I went to a VIP theatre to watch the latest Star Wars movie. Compared to my OLED set, contrast was terrible. Black level was non-existent. Colours were weak and faded. Whites were a weak beige with zero pop. I honestly can't see myself going to movie theaters again unless it's for the sociable aspect of it. So, you are warned. Once you get used to this set and watch top quality 4K HDR content, there is no going back. You will be spoiled for life. I never use the built in TV speakers but these aren't bad. Expensive, but worth every penny and highly highly recommended.

Amazing TV, great for watching soccer

i am a soccer fan and watch BeIn sports all the time and I did buy a couple of very expensive 4K Samsungs in last couple of years and returned them all because of the poor upscaling from 1080P to 4K and the halo around the players against a green background. This LG OLED was recommended by many TV review websites as one of the best for sports and OMG does it deliver. I just got the TV out of the box, did the very easy setup that lasted less than 3-5 minutes and everything works amazing out of the gate. The remote even took over my Pace Set Top box remote and now works seemlessly with the LG remote. The only main issue I have, and I do not remove 1 star for it, is the fact that there is no "previous channel" button on the remote and the fact that it is not really feasible to install Hulu (yes, I have VPN on router) on it, unless i would change country to USA and screw up other things... My 500 Phillips smart TV isn't smart enough and came with Hulu app from the get go... These days, these smart tv's are just a little too smart to my taste. I was considering getting the Sony XBR940E with Android TV, and just adding the APK from a USB pendrive would have been much easier, but then I would have had an inferior screen. The LG viewing angle is amazing and the image quality which is upscaled by TV (Cogeco digital 1080P) is just very good.

My 2 cents

After purchasing this tv, I came home, set it up, and literally watched animal planet in 4K. It looks sooo good, all you want to do is watch ANYTHING in 4K, it's like using your eyes for the first time and just being in awe of what you are looking at.

Awesome TV

The switch to OLED technology makes a huge difference! The colours are amazingly bright and true. We looked at the LG OLED about 2 years ago, but the price was a bit high. Hands-down, it was the best technology out there. After our screen became damaged on our other smart TV, we purchased this one online. Even the delivery guys were amazed at how thin the screen was. Watching older movies, the screen colours actually make the movies look much better. We are impressed by this TV. Watching a hockey game in HD is impressive - no pixelation like other technologies, and very crisp image for fast action play.

This TV immerses you in whatever you are watching.

After doing a lot of research, I decided on the LG OLED65C7P as the best overall performance-to-price of any other OLED currently on the market. The contrast on this display is spectacular. When something is supposed to be black on the screen, it is black... there's no blooming effects, no back-lighting getting in the way of showing you perfect darkness; the pixel is literally off. And then when there is something to display, it just pops out at you (at any viewing angle). This TV destroys any LED display out there right now. Yes, it is more expensive but you get what you pay for. If I had to complain about something it would be the slight judder effect you can experience with fast moving action. This problem can be mitigated with motion smoothing settings (set de-judder to zero and de-blur to 10). The included Dolby Atmos sound processing is actually very good and I don't feel the need for an external sound bar. Buy this TV when it's on sale and you won't be disappointed.

Delivered With Cracked Screen

Purchased this over the Black Friday weekend, had to wait two weeks for it to get delivered from the warehouse. Got it delivered and checked the screen, could not see any cracks. Turned it on, and it has a green line down the screen and shuts off when it gets to a micro crack. You can only see it if you take a flashlight to the screen. Very disappointed as BB made me come to the store I purchased it from to process a return and guess what, have to wait up to two weeks to get another. My low score is for BB service and not the TV. The TV in store looks fantastic. Anyone who purchases this and gets it delivered, make sure to check the screen with a flash light or turn it on before you let the guys leave that deliver it.

Perfect blacks, suitable HDR make for a stunning, natural image

While it is an expensive set, consider how much 55 inch plasmas cost at the time. This is more affordable and a nice leap forward from 1080p. The tech behind LGs display is a sight to behold, especially when viewing native 4K content like planet Earth 2. It looks like a window to the outside world. Images are natural, colors are deep and rich, and you have very good calibration simply using the dark room and technicolor presets. I recommend purchasing an Xbox One X branded console to have a 4K player and waiting for the set to go on sale before purchasing. I was skeptical about 4K HDR, but was intrigued by the Oled tech behind this tv and am not disappointed in the slightest. It makes you want to try all of your content in this format. Enjoy!

Lip lag issues or asychronous sound

I would recommend everyone to go to wikipedia and searchasychronous sound. LG also has an article on this. Basically the lips are not in sync with the sound. The entire 4K TV industry is attempting to deal with this issue by upselling you sound bars and expensive receivers to fix the issue. Which it does not. They need to fix it. They should not be selling these until they do.

Best T.V I've ever seen, hands down.

Picked up the 65" C7 for a great price on black Friday. Upon setting it up at home i was blown away by the build quality and the image quality on this tv. It literally blows every tv I've ever seen out of the water. The blacks are extremely black, the colors are very vivid and the clarity is perfect. This tv can be viewed from basically any angle without sacrificing view quality. Was originally going to get a 75 inch led but the picture quality on the oled was so much better. Not to mention all the led tv's had terrible picture when viewing from side angles. Gaming is insane on this tv due to the extremely low input lag. And watching 4K movies is awesome. Speakers are decent but I use a sound bar so I'll never use them anyways. Overall extremely satisfied with this C7. OLED is where it's at!

Perfect Back!

Was skeptical about C7P and wanted to get B7P but it has been 4 days now and it is beautiful. Moved from 55 4k LED LG to this one and definitely, things are different. It reproduces amazing video and just perfect back. Using with Soundbar and Bluetooth headphones is a delight.

Best TV on the planet

Best TV on the planet. Unbelievable picture and sound quality. Better than the Sony IE8 by a fraction...and better pricing.

Had the tv for a week.

Thanks to black friday sales, the price of a 65 inch doesn't look so big. Trading up seems to be a good idea. Love the picture.

Best Value for your Bucks

If you are planning on jumping in the OLED TV world, don't hesitate to get an LG C7P. Forget about the E7 since it's basically the same tv with a poor soundbar (You could buy a better one after). When looking on internet to see if there were major differences between this TV and the Sony A1E, I found that there shouldn't be any different for a enthusiast like me. Got to Best Buy to see it for myself and even if the videos that Sony is putting in the store to show all the magic of OLED, it didn't make sense to me to pay premium price for the same Panel that LG is selling right now (because the panel that Sony is using it's from LG). I can't say i'm impressed by the sound that comes out of this particular TV, but anyway all theses High ends TV aren't made to be played on the internal speakers. Probably the best TV I've ever bought and it surpasses all my expectations when it comes to contrast and color reproduction. Buy it and forget the price because you might keep this one for a long time! BTW Dolby Vision is king and since you can play Netflix directly from the TV, you can enjoy 4k Dolby Vision at it's best!
