LG Electronics 24" 48dB Built-In Dishwasher with Third Rack (LDFN4542W) - White

Had it about a month now and it's singly the worst dishwasher I have ever used, let alone owned. It doesn't wash well whatsoever. It's gotten to where it I have to basically almost handwash dishes before I use the dishwasher. It goes through rinse agent like it was going out of style. Often times the loads come out worse than they went in, often feeling gritty and covered with film. Even running half a load give the same results. It constantly throws gunk onto the dishes, and often bakes on things (like milk and soup) that should be easily washed. Top flat-rack stops water from uppermost sprinkler head from doing what it's supposed to.

I purchased this for my home elsewhere and haven't used the machine, but watched a video of the installers who ran the machine, (sent from my property mgr. who was there to accept the delivery.) She reported that they checked everywhere for leaks and it was good to go! For now I give it 4 stars for a successful 1st run of it. haha.. I will be better able to rate this new DW after someone is living there again. Also the installer called my property mgr. at my home 10am that morning and also called me in Hawaii (4am) to confirm his arrival. Very prompt service. I tried to post the video of them showing the aftermath of washing, but couldnl't.

We love it. Plenty of pressure to get the dishes clean and an elegant addition to our kitchen.

My appliances are really really old. My wall microwave oven had been gone for a few years after one of my daughter’s heat up something in a stainless steel plate. We were using my oldest daughter’s college countertop microwave but during the pandemic it just died, and so the quest started. We went microwave shopping, of course my husband wants another countertop microwave because he doesn’t want to do the install of the wall microwave and as usual I put my foot down and end up buying an LG microwave that looks so nice on the wall….. we love it! Then my refrigerator started to go after 22 years of loyal service, I found out that usually they last no more than 14, so we had been very lucky with that old refrigerator. We also bought an LG refrigerator and is lo sleek, so nice, so big, so wonderful, we are very happy with it. Then I had a “revelation”, lets just replace ALL our appliances, and so I bought the dishwasher. I wanted an LG, I was looking for a front control panel, quiet, environmentally friendly, and without looking at any other products I bought the LG which we received last month. We are buying LG appliances because they are a good value for the money. We love that we are able to control them from our phones, they look great in the kitchen, and during this times where waiting periods are very long, we have been happy with the amount of time we had had to wait to get what we want. I truly will recommend LG appliances to anybody. Even my phone is an LG….

I received this dishwasher three weeks ago. I did so much research before settling on this LG Dishwasher. I wanted functionality, water/electricity saving functions, and a sleek/clean design, which is what this LG dishwasher is. Overall it is a great dishwasher. It is a four power wash and both the top and the bottom racks share the same amount of pressure which was very important to me when browsing through different dishwashers. Needless to say, I handle the dishwasher with care and I am pretty good about removing and scraping off food pieces since I don’t want them to accumulate within the dishwasher, and thus far I have not seen any unwashed bits in any dish. I have washed pots and pans in addition to the regular dishes of plates, cups, cutlery etc. The dishwasher is powerful and gets the job done. One of the things I love the most is the different cycle options that are offered. On days where I feel that I want a quicker wash for mildly soiled items, there is an option to set the washer to Express/32 minutes, which is AMAZING and helps you save on your electric bill ! I love that flexibility in the cycles because it lets me decide what I want to do and how I want to wash certain dishes without being tied to preset functions. Aesthetically speaking, the dishwasher is sleek with a built in front touch dial, which adds elegance to my kitchen. Oh and before I go, one of my most favorite functions is to press and hold the start button for three seconds which initiates the machine to drain the excess remaining water. I love this feature because it helps to avoid any type of smell that can accumulate. How neat is that ?!
