- Great Case- January 2, 2020
I've had 2 cases for the same phone. I've dropped it on concrete, asphalt, tile and hard wood. I'm a clutz and have even lost it in the toilet from my back pocket! I walk in the rain and this case has never let me down. Unfortunately they don't sell these cases for my new phone or I would have gotten the same case! Totally worth the investment.. absolutely no scratches or cracks in my old Galaxy phone. And no need for a separate screen protector. The only damage I've had to the case that would matter is the rubber piece that covered the aux "hole".. I wear earphones a lot and fidget with the rubber when anxious so it broke off both times understandably.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

The good: It does what it advertises, protects your phone from water and when you drop the phone. The grip is good and the case looks good for its size. The bad: Sound quality and call volume. It is difficult to hear people on the phone and people often complain that they are unable to hear my voice clearly. I tried suggested fixes directly from Lifeproof and other life hack website to fix the problem but the problems persist. Overall, I would not recommend this case for functionality purposes. Since I spent the money and need this phone to last the duration of the contract, I have kept the case.No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I spent more money on this case to take extra precaution. Had I known or been informed by Best Buys representative that the phone itself was already waterproof and shatter proof, I would of bought the less expensive cases. Nonetheless after buying Life proof, which I was told was the best, I encountered a big problem. People could not hear me and they would hear echoes. It's my first smartphone as well, so I figured that I just need to fix my settings or speak into it a different way. After 3 months of procrastinating I figured it out that it was the case. So now I'm out $80. Should of done my research. The case may be waterproof and shatter proof but it is also sound proof. Don't waste your money!No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
