my husband had this case for his iPhone 4 The case was so beat up but when he upgraded his iPhone we took his old phone out. It looked brand new. I would never think of buying any other case for him. He is hard on phones and this is the best protection money can buy. Im enclosing a picture of the old life proof case and phone when it came out. Pictures say it all. Now I can take his old iPhone to europe and use it with a local sim

Pros.It's the thinnest water proof item out there in the market today! All other ones are to big and just make the iPhone look like bulky conditions ! The the 3D Touch doesn't work if you have a screen protector on it! Like on mines I have the tempered glass and put the life proof on it, the 3D Touch doesn't live up too it expectations! But it's still a great slick design and whoever did the designing will just need to tune it up just a bit! Maybe on the outside of the life proof, it's just an opinion, but keep it the same but make it out of carbon fiber with a shinny look to it!! Can never go wrong with a shinny water proof case! Or even a 24kt gold case but only making this one water proof!!;)

When all the other cases came along promising waterproof, dirtproof, snowproof and dropproof...I stayed loyal to Lifeproof! However, I noticed that since they have changed the product to accomodate the finger touch system that the quality has deminished. I am careful with my phone but one drop and I have a crack in my phone. Dropproof no more! And the waterproof promise, with the old versions, I used to be able to take my phone to the beach and swim with it. This has not been the case with the newer versions, I have not even taken it under water because above water when my dog just splashes the phone - water accumulates inside. Disappointed!

This is my 3rd Lifeproof case. The second one, which this one replaced protected my phone during my year tour in Afghanistan...but after that experience it needed replacement. Yes I know lifeproof will replace beat up cases, but I needed one immediately. This case has a couple improvements. The first I noticed was the improved sound quality and mic quality. The second HUGE improvement is the larger charging port. The first generation cases had a port that could only accept a factory apple charger. This one is about twice the size and accepts most aftermarket chargers. I can't say enough about these cases. Excellent investment for a $700 phone!
