- Don't bother if you're a linux user- September 2, 2019
What we are nowhere told is that in order to set this up you need to download software and use it to connect to a logitech website The software is only available for Windows and the Mac and I have been using linux for 25 years and don't propose to change now. There seem to have been linux workarounds which worked in the past, but apparently logitech keep changing their website and breaking them. Having spent the last two hours trying to get this to work I am extremely annoyed firstly at logitech for not supporting linux, or rather actively making linux support impossible ad secondly at best buy for NOT MENTIONING THIS anywhere. Useless.

Report - Takes time to set up but great once done- June 21, 2018
It took several hours to integrate all my devices into this remote control but I was successful. I wanted the remote to do all common functions so I had to resort to macros in some cases. However, once all this is done, I can control all my AV devices through this one remote and I have a high degree of confidence that it can manage any new AV devices that I acquire. The only thing that I would point out is that you have to start and end with this remote. If you start with another remote and then switch to this one, it can get confused about the states of your AV devices. You can get it back on track, but it is easier just to start with it.
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. - A good, functional remote- August 21, 2020
This is my second Logitech Harmony remote so that says something. The first one lasted roughly 6 years before a few buttons finally gave out. This one is just an upgraded version of the last one (650). I rated the value as just ‘average’ because it is still relatively expensive for a remote, even though it is quite functional. Logitech customer support is very good with walking you through any programming issues too. We use this for our Panasonic TV, Apple TV 4k & all the apps for it, Sony sound system, and Play Station (for DVD’s). The remote is easy to use once you get it set up. It runs on two AA batteries, and the battery life is good.
