- Don't unplug too much- April 9, 2015
Bought these over a year ago and they worked pretty good. I used them mostly at work till I had to move my cube and that is when the problem happened. After I unplugged and plugged them back in, there was a whining noise coming from the power adapter. I brought them home and plugged them in and the same thing. Its not too noticeable if you have the plug under a table or behind something. If you don't want to notice it at all, you may need to turn the sound up a bit. Sound is good but that whining just kills it if you forget to turn them off or have long pauses of silence. Just don't move them to much and it shouldn't produce the problem I ran into.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Worth It!- February 21, 2019
While shopping for gaming speakers that would not break the bank and still deliver amazing sound quality, all I saw were speakers ranging from $80+. My son surprised me after I had agreed to spend $100 on speakers, he picked these for waaaaaayyyy less then $100. We had tested other display models which sounded pretty crappy. I figured my son didn’t have high expectations and I would be saving a ton of money so why not. Oh Boy! What a surprise I got when we hooked up the speakers to the computer. They might as well cost $100. Lol No subwoofer needed. The base, the sound and the size made this an awesome buy. I would buy these again in a heart beat.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Decent sound, good value- June 12, 2020
I bought these Z130's as a supplement to my work-from-home computer audio setup. Good: - Surprisingly powerful. With the volume on the speakers turned about half-way, I keep my computer output volume around 25% - Clean sound for conference calls, background music, podcasts. Less good: - Stand alone power cable adapter rather than USB power - Stereo cable coming from the right-hand speaker is pretty short. If your desktop tower is on the left, you may have an issue. - Bass-range sound can get muddy All around great value. It won't replace a high-end 2.1 system. But if you need quick, inexpensive speakers, these are a good buy.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
