Don't recycle that packaging until you're sure...

The sale price was awesome, but I wish I had returned this set instead of recycling the packaging. I love the fact this unit encrypts the keystrokes sent to the USB dongle, but that's nearly the only positive. Oh and it has a calculator button. The negatives: The keyboard needs to wake up or something, as the first couple keystrokes made on it each day do not register. The bottom row of keys are sloped on the lower edge, which is something I still haven't gotten used to. The bottom edge of the keyboard is also sloped and slippery, which makes picking up and moving the keyboard awkward. The function keys are small. The mouse is a good size, better than the smaller ones in other sets. The wheel is cheap, makes a certain noise in one direction, and a more irritating noise when scrolled the other way. Either the little feet are not slippery enough, or the mouse itself weighs too much - because the mouse pointer is difficult to move in small increments without a jarring motion. Video editing with this would not be fun. Gaming is likely out of the question. This set is a good backup or cheap replacement I guess, but I'm not too thrilled with it. This review was typed on the very keyboard.
