Microsoft LifeCam HD-3000 Webcam (T3H-00016)

Overall I like this webcam. It holds on to my monitor and it does not need to be constantly readjusted. I like that the base is made of flexible material so it can hold to any monitor you have. The range of motion when moving the camera itself is limited but I think it's great because it can be annoying having to readjust the positioning every single time I video chat with people. The only negative thing about this webcam is that will not stand on its own (even after adjusting the stand to a standing position) so it's recommended to place it on top of your monitor only. Picture/video quality is overall great. Affordable price for an HD webcam.

I have tried this with a Windows 7 computer at my office, and a Windows 10 computer at home. The image is terribly fuzzy. I followed the instructions to clean the lens, using a dry cloth, and the image is still of a horrible quality.

After the most recent updates to Windows 10 (Anniversary Update) the HD Lifecam 3000 stopped working. I have spent a few hours with Microsoft support only to discover that the video formats were restricted in the recent update. Some people have been able to force it to work on Skype but nothing else.

My boyfriend and I both bought one of these. We both have the same issue, there's an almost constant humming/whining noise that will randomly get incredibly loud and drown out any other sound. Picture quality is alright, but the sound with the humming is almost unusable.

Works for my pc and what a good price
