Great product from Windows. I'm very happy with the battery life, functionality ans design.

Recently had my Surface Pro stolen and needed a new computer asap. Went to buy a new Surface pro and the keyboard was not available. In a pinch, I decided to buy the Surface laptop. Best decision I made. I loved my Surface Pro, and the capabilities of it - but the issue was, I never used it to its full capacity. So the cons of having a Surface pro - small size, less sturdy design - I was dealing with unnecessarily. The Surface Laptop was a definite upgrade with quality and usability. Should have done it a long time ago. If you only need a laptop and won't use the tablet function of a Surface Pro - highly recommend the experience of the Surface Laptop.

I love this. Size is great and the 3:2 screen adds some additional height for scrolling through documents, etc. Light, but solidly built. The touch-screen is responsive and works well along with the trackpad for any gestures you throw at it. Keyboard is solid, though I will say this one provides a bit more flex than the solid aluminum models. Still comfortable for casual typing. I use it as a work computer, but the CPU is also strong enough for some light/old games that don't require a lot of graphics power. SSD size is fine for me as I mostly upload to the cloud anyway.

The laptop didn't have the performance I was expecting for a Microsoft laptop. Perhaps it is just my opinion, but I found the keyboard soft plastic finish that was highly rated to just feel cheap and flimsy. Every time I would type, the plastic would flex beneath my hands. It just had a weird feel about it.... I returned it after only 3 days of use and bought the new Microsoft Studio Laptop. I have had the Studio for four weeks now and it works great. A bit pricy for what you get, but just feels better than Dell or the older Microsoft laptops....

Great product except for the quality issues that we're experiencing. I purchased this less than a month ago as a gift for my wife's birthday. It has great specs for her workload so initially it was a perfect fit. But about a week ago (3 weeks after purchase) the screen started started randomly flashing with dark spots appearing at the bottom of the screen at random intervals. In my professional life, I have a relationship with Microsoft and I expect MS to have better quality control so this is disappointing.
