- The loud clicking noise is distracting- December 17, 2020
I've worked with computers for decades, and have worked with countless mice (mouses? meeces?) over the years. The main issue with this mouse is the loud click of the button. It is a low pitched loud distracting sound! The Surface Pro only has two USB ports, one a USB-C and one USB-A. Logitech is my favorite, but it would occupy the USB-A port. And I would not trust other bluetooth mice due to reports of connectivity issues. Also, the mouse is really not very ergonomic, but does look sleek. The bluetooth pairing was amazingly quick. All told, I've decided to ignore the loud clicks and keep this device. I think I'll just wear my Bose noise-cancelling headset! :)No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
- Not worth it!- September 14, 2020
This mouse looks sleek which is why I bought it in the first place. It just doesn't feel good in your hand. It's too flat and small, and doesn't have the right contour. The scroller is thin and has no grip. The materials feel plastic-y and cheap, I think if you dropped it it would shatter into pieces. You can feel/hear this when you click the buttons. The bottom does not glide well on flat surfaces or mouse pads (I've tried both). Instead it feels like you're scratching the bottom when you move it. The Bluetooth connectivity is very spotty, it goes in and out.No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
- Connects quickly, Perfect size for smaller hands- April 17, 2020
With my elementary school kids (1st and 5th grade) needing to use PCs full time for remote learning, I wanted to get them a mouse to use in lieu of the of the trackpads on our surface devices. While the trackpads work ok, it's just plain easier to navigate and type with a mouse. The Surface Mouse does not disappoint. It connects almost immediately after booting up the PC, it has very smooth tracking and ergonomically is very easy to hold. My wife liked it so much, we ended up buying another one for her HP laptop - which connects just as quickly. Definitely a worthwhile purchase considering the price. My only nitpick is that it doesn't automatically turn off. It's supposed to have good battery life, but I end up turning it off every night....just in case.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
