Piece of shit

This is a real piece of shit. Not user friendly at all. What a waist of money and a pale imitation of an iPad.

Battery life sucks

This machine is nice to show off but other than that it is useless. It has a terrible battery life, charger cord is not long enough, the shape of the charger makes it restrictive, and the machine is not powerful enough. Given the cost of these machines and the use, this has been my worst buy, It has very nice esthetics and is light, which was the reason for my purchase. I wish I had done some more research.

The student who's help everyone must take.

This should be a necessity for college. Especially when paper books and copies are expensive and needs extra resources to make them. On top of that, college books are expensive too so this should be a go-to-companion. On the down side of things, this tab has less processing power if you use this tab as your only device. I would suggest go for the i7 one if you are looking for an all rounder if you are looking to work on it such as video editing and visual studio applications other games but bear in mind that the higher model comes with a bit of quirk-the price.

Misleading image

Why is this device shown with a keyboard if it is not an included item?

Good Design, Poor Quality Control

i5 - 8GB 256GB & m3 - 4GB 128GB - In form and finish, the design is phenomenal, and if quality control were better during the manufacturing process, I would rate this much higher. I've had 6 - yes 6 - of these units from the 'New Surface Pro' generation and in one way or another all 6 were defective. 2 repeating issues I've noticed with finish: 1) with some devices there is a separation between the top piece of the frame and the screen - enough to fit paper or a fingernail in, and 2) if looking at an all black background, there is what appears to be almost fingerprint-like blemishes beneath the glass (which can vary in size and location). I've generally had good experiences with Surface products up to this generation (the Surface Book at its outset being an exception), but this is, quite frankly, appalling for a device at this price point.

Surface is great.

Never had a problem with any Surface I've owned. The screens have been the best looking of any laptop. SEM is a fake review. It's impossible to have gone through four surface tablets with problems. He would be the most unlucky man in the world.

I should have stuck with Thinkpad

Bought a Surface Pro July 2017. Worst computer(s) I've ever owned. 16 gigs ram, 512 space, i5... really expensive machine. On my FOURTH ONE. Previous ones broken/issues. Spent 25 hours online with reps to fix these things. Spent about 50 hours reinstalling Windows/reconfiguring machines because you can't use system image on different machines. I should have stuck with the Thinkpads. Last one lasted 8 years (and still works). Surface is useless and I am angry!

I would give surface 10 stars if I could

Surface is the best mobile PC ever. Nothing comes close. I have owned surface several surface tablets and the longer I have them the more I like them. The new surface with passive cooling is so great. Forget ipad. Ipad is way overpriced and cannot do what Surface will do for you. Just get it!
