Do not buy

Absolute garbage. Lasted one month and there is no mechanism to get manufacturers warranty support. BestBuy is of no help either on this. Don't sell products that are useless and not backed up by the manufacturer. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Mic stoped working

Mic stoped working after 4 months of use

Worked great for a month then one earphone faulty. Good customer svc from Microsoft though

Bought the set without checking reviews, assumed it be good quality. Worked great for the first month (clear audio, mic worked fine), seemed to be great. After that, right earphone started working intermittently and cutting in and out. Online chat with MS representative and replacement is on the way... hopefully the new one lasts longer!

Poor headset...

i purchased this headset only yesterday, and i was looking forward to using them. but when i opened them and tried them out. the sound was working great but the mic was non functional out of the box! will be returning these as soon as possible. i do not recommend these at all. learn from our mistakes and buy a higher quality headset!

cheap head set but ok

I have purchased two sets of these and they are ok but only last for 4-6 months with careful use and storage...both sets i have it is always the mic that quits working so now i guess only option is to buy an actual quality set like astros'

cheap cord

cheap cord, broke in 2 months- fuzzy mic due to this when cable moved.

decent and replaceable

decent headset. super light, very comfortable. mic is nice and clear and rotates out of the way for storage (magnet keeps in in place. nice!). my only complaints are i cracked the headband (100% functional still, just cracked) not sure how it happened but i probably sat on them. only other problem is with the included controller adaptor. it doesn't work anymore. this is my second adaptor to break down. sad because the controls make changing volume, game/chat mix and mute really easy. but the headset itself works when plugged direct into the controller so thats fine. at first i was upset and set out to replace them with a high quality alternative but to be honest, you could replace these things 4 times and still be saving # over the Astros (top of the line) so in my opinion, the value equation is great on these headphones and they get the jerb done for late night sessions while the wifey sleeps without breaking the bank.

Very cheaply made!!!!!!!

I bought these headphones and had them in working order for about a couple weeks. The problem with these headphones is the cord is really, really cheap, even if your the most careful person in the world with your stuff. When plugging these headphones directly into your controller or chat pad, over time the headphone adapter shorts out, giving either crackling effect or no sound at all. These really could have been a great pair of headphones as they sound great, but with a extremely cheap cord given to them don't expect them to last long.

Great for awhile.

Works great but poorly made. After only three months a piece broke off in one of the earphones and is rattling around inside. The head band is cracked.

Good for what it is

This Headset is great for what it is, a stereo over the ear headset. I've had mine for over two years, it's gotten a couple of cracks on it as I've had it for a long time but it still works 100%. Only issue is over time it has gotten less and less comfortable on the top of my head and my ears. But it's due to happen when you use them every day for many hours. I also use this headset for pc gaming. You can just plug the jack into the sound port in your computer but if you want to use the mic as well you will need an adapter to do so (Changing the one male into two male for audio AND sound jack). Obviously if you're looking for a surround sound this isn't for you as this is just stereo.

Not worth it!

The headphones themselves are nice, and when you can hear the game sound, they sound great. However, the stereo adapter that is included to make them work with the wireless controller is garbage! Any slight nudge or wiggle will cause the sound to cut out. The only way I've been able to get it back is to unplug the headphones, adapter, turn off the controller, plug everything back in, turn it back on, wiggle it around until the sound starts and then DO NOT MOVE A MUSCLE! Will be returning, and after reading many posts online about this after purchasing, will be looking at third party options instead of this "Official" MS product that just doesnt work as it should.

Great for the price

I got this headset six months ago. Quality is good for the price, you can spend ALOT more money then this on a headset and get something much worse. I don't think it works with the chat/game audio volume mixer (mine doesn't seem to) but if you just need a good headset with decent sound quality go with these. The chat arm also folds away so that it's basically impossible to see. My fiance uses them at school to watch Netflix between classes. You can't tell at all that it's our headset for nerding out and playing Destiny together.

Bought them in 03/28/14. Right side ear is crackling under bass conditions, I don't play my games loud so it didn't break break cause I cranked the music. In bf4 any loud noise with a deep bass causes it to crackle, destiny beta it crackled a lot. It also cracks when my one friend talks as his voice is deep. Theses only have a 90 day warranty..... Save your money for some turtle beaches or something better than these

Good Headphones for the price

Needed a headset for my Xbox One for some late night playing and some online chat. I liked the Microsoft headset for the stiff boom mic and the fact that it rotated out of site. I'm very impressed with this headset! It may not be the best on the market but for the price, they are awesome! I usually have problems with these large headsets as they can become uncomfortable after extended use, these headphones are very comfortable and the ear piece material seems to breath very well. Overall, very happy with the purchase!

Quality product

You get your money's worth with this headset. It's very good quality. Sound quality is decent. My only complaint is with updating the controller. After it updates I still get a popup saying that it still needs the update. But the headset works after that.

Improves the gaming experience

The Xbox One Stereo Headset is very comfortable, easy to setup and the sound quality is pretty good. You will not be blowing your ear drums with this headset but it is loud enough to drown out the sounds around you. This is my first experience gaming with a headset and I don't think I can play video games any other way. It is a great way to play without having to inconvenience those around you while enjoying the full surround sound game experience. This is not a wireless headset it connects directly to your controller which is better than a wireless headset in my opinion because there is no need for charging the headset or replacing batteries.
