- Did not work, horrible support- December 16, 2021
I followed all the instructions, and called in to support 4 times. Device would connect, but say not connected to internet. Which, that is the whole point of an extender is to bridge the gap between the router and the device I need better wi-fi. Each call was routed overseas. My last call the support tech was barely understandable and did not listen to me at all. Over an hour on the phone, end result, "return the extender, there is a hardware problem". I will not be buying NetGear again.
- Netgear outshone the competition- December 15, 2021
I had recently purchased a RangeXTD unit but had difficulty getting it to work with our main router. The Netgear EX2800 was way easier to connect the system. The advantage of being able to get the router and EX2800 in the same room and then move the Netgear unit to the place where I needed the signal boost was a great help. After that, the setup online was easy and fast. Instead of working for days on the old unit, the new one was set up in less than 45 minutes.
- Awesome Extender Upgrade- March 25, 2021
This is my second NETGEAR extender. Nothing wrong with the 1st extender, just wanted the newest generation to expand WiFi coverage in my 1890 historic home. With two NETGEAR extenders, my downstairs area has no dead zones. This is very important to me since my walls have 90% of the original plaster work which includes thin slates topped with 2 layers of concrete before the plaster. Over the years, plaster has been added to remove cracks. The 1st generation extender worked great in the living room, but with an 800 sq ft range, it was moved to the foyer to better support my Ring doorbell. Now with the NETGEAR AC750 WiFi Range Extender added, my family can enjoy streaming from their phones and tablets anywhere downstairs with great WiFi signal. Highly recommend NETGEAR EXTENDER products if you are expanding WIFI coverage in your home.
- Amazing cheap device!- July 15, 2020
I added some online backups to various home laptops and cut the cord recently. All these changes brought my wifi to a standstill so much my computer kept going offline. I purchased this on the advice of an IT friend and wow it solved my problems. I bought a second one so I have one in the basement as well as the second floor. I thought I would have to spend hundreds on mesh technology but this little beauty did the trick!Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Wifi extender- May 9, 2021
So far so good. I use Ring outdoor light/cam at back door and have Netgear router upstairs in front room (approx 1200 ft away) Light/cam kept getting poor signal and losing signal. It was easy to link wifi extender to router and Ring light cam picked up good signal right away. Signal stays connected just sometimes takes a longer time to load views on Ring app but at least I can keep a signal, which is wonderful.
