- pleased with it's performanceReviewed by SlompOchomp - November 30, 2019
I was an early adopter of the RAX200 (05/08/19) and have been pleased with it's performance. I have over 15 wireless devices connected to it and I am not getting any lag nor drops from those devices. I did have issues with older firmware but with the latest firmware version 1.0.1.12_1.0.41 it has been very stable. I am using a CM1100 modem with Ethernet Port Aggregation enabled and my internet speeds are at what I am paying for through my ISP. All in all I am happy with this new WiFi 6 router.

30+ Wi-Fi devices and still going strong. I am not seeing any devices drop nor speed issues (using latest firmware) and I am constantly checking cloud security cameras and what not. The Wi-Fi range is great; I have a Wi-Fi garage door opener, washer and dryer, hot water heater and some cameras in the garage which is two flights of stairs down and they all have good Wi-Fi strength. I love that it has integrated parental controls using Circle and integrated Netgear Armor powered by Bitdefender. All in all this has been one of the best home routers I have used in 30 years.

This router is replacing an older NETGEAR AC3200 (R8000) that we had for several years. First, my house is basically a Faraday cage with older construction that does not allow the signal to travel far especially outside of the house. This upgrade has tremendously increased signal strength both within the home and outside. For example, WIFI connection outside of the home was spotty beyond 15 ft from the house. I now have no issues at around 75ft from the house. Linking in with my existing EX8000 extender was seamless. Overall the router is expensive but now we no longer have to rely on cellular just sitting on the front porch or rear patio.

This is an expensive router, but worth the money for the signal strength. Overall ease of set up is a bit much, but the customer service is steps above other brand products. If you have a lot of Wi-Fi products to connect, it is worth the money. The app is easy to use. Router gives you three channels of use, to include two extra 5g networks. Have had this product almost two years and it is just now starting to slow up a bit. We will see if it makes it to my four year expectation. I figure if it does, it will have averaged out to be around 100$ a year, which is the cost of a basic starter router that usually last around the one year mark.
