The Extender regularly cuts out and has to be unplugged and replugged in. Often the wifi name appears but is not connected to the internet. Other reviews share same issues.

  • Completely useless.

A word of advice from a techie: do not buy this extender if you care about 5Ghz range. I purchased two of these hoping it would solve the problem of my regular router’s 5Ghz band not making it to the top or bottom floor. These extenders did not solve that problem at all. Placed in the center of a room, the extender boosted the signal only a few meters further than the router did. I tried it in many places and found the same results each time. The range absolutely sucks on these! Additionally, it was never able to achieve the same 5Ghz speeds as just when using the router’s network. I ended up returning both and buying the Linksys Velop whole-home mesh system instead. It worked like a charm. If you honestly care about range and super speeds in a techie sort of way, go with a mesh system rather than these extenders.

Delivered next day. A bit complicated to set up. Took me close to an hour to set up after a few attempts. Whene done, moved device to poor coverage area where it took another 20 minutes or so to get all the LEDs turn green. DL/UL speeds now same as next to the router. A little difficult to setup for me, a networking pro. Very good product. I would recommend.
