My Netgear AC750 WiFi Extenders are being used in concert with Netgear AC1600 WiFi cable router. In fact I bought two of the extenders, one for the 3rd floor, but it turned out there's no need; full signal bars. Then I thought well the grandchildren play in the basement on the old 60" projection screen with the original NES, but more importantly... On their phones! I thought, Eureka, but once again Netgear had it covered with full signal. Thank you Netgear, and sorry I couldn't be more technical other than to say, hopefully with the correct terminology, the ping(?) is undetectable on my two grandson's XBox One, or so they say.

  • Frustrating
    Reviewed by Shanna - April 5, 2021

It was frustrating to set up. We didn’t find the instructions terribly clear. Now that’s it’s set up and working, I lose connectivity with a lot of frequency. Easily multiple times a day which makes working from home especially frustrating. Don’t even try to stream music or videos while using, it frequently freezes up and loses connection! Same for multiple devices and using Zoom or MS Teams. Overall, this hasn’t helped my work from home situation and makes it a frustrating situation daily. My review based on my frustration and it’s lack of capability to do basics - avoid.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

  • Versatile, easy to setup, reliable (so far)

Like the title says, simple to setup. Fastlane works well. Only 4 stars because there should be more attention in the documentation about location of the unit, adjustment of the antennas, and, for users of Fastlane, which antenna is 2.4GHz and which antenna is 5GHz. One minor, undocumented anomaly. The status light for the wifi may go from green to amber, but the signal strength will be strong. It may be a function of sampling, i.e. if there's a momentary drop in signal at the same time it's being measured, the "amber" strength will show. Simply power-cycling the unit clears the amber condition.
