Awesome but wish I had an old tube TV to use it on..

This is awesome, love it!! On a big screen HD tv it really shows the low res.. would look more fitting on an old Tube TV.. but who cares, it’s awesome!

Remembering my childhood

The graphics are exactly as I remembered them. The games selection is good, but you will never get all of the games that you want. The 2 controllers are nice and the HDMI output makes the TV connection a breeze. The controller cables are a bit short and the HDMI cable is short too, but I bought a longer HDMI cable and all of the distance problems disappeared.

solid product

i bought one for me and one for a buddy as a christmas present. couldnt be more happy withthe product. the only thing is the video controller cord is a little bit short. also they couldve put some more games on it. but you got zelda on it and thats one of the best games in the history of any console. plus mario which is a classic. and earthbound. alot of classic titles.

A High Quality Emulation Experience

The SNES classic, at face value is a very charming product, a plug and play SNES with 21 classic games and 2 comfortable, authentically replicated controllers that can even double as Wii Classic Controllers. However, the absolute highlight of the console has got to be the ease of access in modding it. It is super easy to mod the machine to gain access to not only SNES and NES emulation (natively supported) but also Game Boy (Color), GBA, Sega Genesis, and even Atari games in stable conditions. (Note: You will need to download the Hackchi software online, as well as downloading and extracting the ROMs onto the console. However, once the easy setup is done, you have an excellent all-in-one retro emulation experience with up to 4 players (with proper peripherals). If you buy it and leave it as is (without softmodding) it is a bit overpriced but still fun; however it is by far the most easily accesible emulation platform out there (great for inexperienced modders). Price is a bit high, but the replica controllers and great GUI make it a very good purchase. For more modding info, visit the subreddit r slash minisnesmods.

Why is it taking so long for the SNES qty to be updated

Why is it taking so long for the SNES qty to be updated, i barley see it updated online but they are available at random stores in Canada and barely anything in the GTA???

Great impulse buy

Just happened to pick one up the other day and I'm happy I did. Great system, lots of fun. The kids are really enjoying it as well.

I just got one for Christmas and I love it! Brings back so many memories. The games are exactly how I remember them! Perfect time waster for these brutally cold winter nights!! I am thrilled! :)

Just what I expected

It's a shame there is not more games on it but it's so incredibly easy to add games yourself risk-free that I'm not sure it's worth complaining about. Super easy to use, great looking games, HDMI out, the fact that you can power it through USB, just solid product. Bought on launch day (they had more than how many of us were there), it's been moved to the office so we can play on our breaks. Thanks Nintendo!

Nostalgia Fulfilled

I was able to successfully order online and receive my SNES Classic. How did I get one compared to all the folks with negative reviews? Simple, when I heard they were going to have units added online, I started by making sure all details were already entered in my profile (e.g. address and CC), then I continuously refreshed the page starting 15 minutes prior to "go live" and clicked like a fiend once the "add to cart" option enabled. Voila. Initially I was slightly disappointed with the device because the input lag was unmanageable, but after a bit of troubleshooting (i.e. changing settings on my TV) the issue was fixed and it runs exactly as I'd hoped. Now my wife and I have been able to enjoy some memories of playing these games from back in the day. It's great! The console itself is fantastic, and the controllers are perfect.

The included games are fantastic definitely worth the price. Having two controllers boxed in is awesome. Controller cords are longer than the NES classic, but still could have been a bit longer. The front panel that conceals the controller ports is a little flimsy and difficult to snap shut sometimes.

disappointing gameplay

like with the previous NES classic, the SNES classic suffers from input lag from my experience, making platformers frustrating to play. I believe this is the case for all emulation systems out there and the classics are no exception.
