  • A worthy revisit of the original story
Verified BuyerReviewed by Milkman - 31 décembre 2016

You'd think Disney's live-action reboots of classic animated films might hit a bump in the road once in awhile, and although that may happen in the future, Pete's Dragon is not that bump. Featuring an all-star cast, with the child leads performing admirably, this version of Pete's Dragon confronts familial loss with sensitivity, while providing the entertainment value you might expect from a CG spectacle such as this. As spectacles go, this is more subdued than most, but when it is used it is utilized to good effect. More touching than the original animated film, Pete's Dragon is a worthy addition to any family library.

  • Not a real Pete's Dragon movie
Verified BuyerReviewed by Action - 5 janvier 2017

I was very excited when I first heard about Disney doing a remake of Pete's Dragon. I anxiously waited for it to come out. I did enjoy the movie, but not when comparing it to the original. In the original Elliott had a personality. In the remake, he's like a giant dog with wings. A "real-life" version of "How to Train Your Dragon". By itself, it was a decent movie. But when compared to it's roots, I was left disappointed. Fortunately, I still have the original to remember the "good ol' days."

  • Great movie for all ages
Verified BuyerReviewed by Butch - 20 décembre 2016

This movie was wonderful it brought me back to my childhood and I'm now a senior watching it with my grandchildren. It was fanciful and fun I laughed and was fearful at times what may happen next. It captivated the imagination in all of us which is why the movie is so great! I saw it at the theatre and knew I had to buy it when it came available so I could watch as often as I wanted with all of my grandchildren and great grandchildren as well. It's a movie to really enjoy!
