- Good Sensor - wrong dimensions- January 12, 2021
I ordered this to control under cabinet lighting. I had a sensor to do that but it was much larger and I wanted something that would be less obvious under the cabinet. I only had about 3/4 of an inch depth to work with. Seemed like this sensor would fit but after unboxing it my fears were confirmed. The dimensions are for the 'box' part of the sensor, the hood sticks out farther and on the back is a large round base that makes this much thicker. Other than that, I had it up and running in minutes. One of the fastest and trouble free sensors I've added to my network.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- They're ok- July 8, 2017
I have the motion sensor setup in my kitchen. The kitchen lights do turn on when someone enters the room and shuts off after sometime when there is no motion. Only 2 stars because the "sufficient daylight" hardly works. It would say "inactive sufficient daylight" but the lights still turn on with motion. Very annoying. Adjusted several times. Plus, there doesn't seem to be that much of a difference, if any, between the motion sensitivities. I do recommend if you only want the lights to turn on with motion, but the advanced settings are not that advanced.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Excellent motion sensor- February 4, 2018
I read other online reviews and the Phillips motion sensor is a very well-made product. It has low latency and you can set the sensitivity for daylight and motion. This is my second one so far and it’s easy to set up and install. We used to control hallway lights when one approaches. You use the Hue app set up and configure. I would suggest using some tape and putting it in various parts the room to test out where it works the most effectively. Then when you’re sure you can actually install it on the wall. There is a round small cylinder that screws into your drywall. And then the motion detector attaches magnetically. It’s 2 inches wide and tall and 1 inch deep.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Good- June 3, 2019
This is a fine product but, it still might not solve all of your problems. I cannot recommend it because of the price although that might depend on your use case. There are plenty of creative ways to set this up, and the "hue Labs" feature in the app open up these possibilities. No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
- Great addition to my smart home.- July 25, 2020
I love this item. Works great and very easy to install and uses a magnetic bracket. This is the second one I’ve purchased. Great range and perfect for duel entry way. Very customizable for light settings even with multiple lights and rooms.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
