- issue by configuring Day and Night behaviourReviewed by Cedric - 26 novembre 2019
I bought it since one week and I have a issue by configuring Day and Night Beahviour on the Philips HUE App (Android version but also test from iphone, same issue) In the section of the sensor configuration, you have the choice to add day and night behaviour and configuring the time beetween. For me the time is never saved or at least it is not shown properly, so you don't know if it was really applied or not ? Sometimes it is blank and sometime you can see only a "-" instead. So I have no idea if I have configured a range or not... Is it a know issue ? Otherwise the product seems very good !

- Great way to update an old electrical lighting sysVerified BuyerReviewed by Robert - 13 juin 2020
We bought this older (1917) home earlier in the year. It took me awhile to figure out what was going on with our lighting system while looking to install dimmers. I found only thin gauge wires in each switch box, and I finally figured out that we had an old system where low voltage momentary switches turn the lights ON or OFF via a relay at each fixture. That system is still being manufactured! I realize that dimmers were not possible without rewiring the house, until I discovered Hue. I’ll admit that it was a bit of a hurtle to figure out what Hue is, but once I did I ordered five lights (with bridge) for our dining room to see if we liked them. Next came a porch light, side floodlights, two bedrooms, bathroom, and back floodlights. Everywhere we needed ease of use and quality of light. I did get smart buttons or dimmers for each room, and that works fine. My wife has warned me that she will worry if I’m not available to trouble shoot the system someday, but she does use it now easily. I’m not worried. :) We will eventually rewire the house, but the Hue system will remain. The Hue system has allowed us to put the rewiring down a few rungs on the very long to-do ladder.

- Overall great, but almost too sensitive?Verified BuyerReviewed by cakefornoreaaon - 25 novembre 2020
As someone who’s used plenty of the indoor version of this sensor, this was my first purchase of the outdoor version. In general, it’s great—integrates with HomeKit, reports temp, light level, and motion all there for you to use in automation if you like. My one caution is that the motion sensor is incredibly sensitive and has a wide range. I placed it outdoors on the edge of an elevated deck, and I had to turn off notifications, as it was detecting every squirrel that would pass by even at the lowest sensitivity setting. So while it’s useful, thoughtful placement will be important to make sure your lights aren’t turning on when you don’t mean for them to.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. - Best I've triedVerified BuyerReviewed by Elmo - 4 janvier 2021
And I've tried a lot. A touch expensive but... The Hue is a multipurpose sensor and it reads motion, light and temperature. it's very fast and I really like being able to adjust the sensitivity to each of the dimensions... helps to cut down on false alarms. So... here is the best ever thing about this sensor - I disconnected it from the Hue bridge and connected directly to my Hubitat. Now I can use it with the Hue lights (that I use for ambience) and also for my zigbee lights which I use more for safety and security. That's awesome value. Also note that battery devices (which this is) do not act as repeaters.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. - Another cool HUE productVerified BuyerReviewed by RUMD - 3 mars 2019
I was waiting for outdoor motion sensors for a while and I have been using indoor sensors which work pretty well. So I decided to buy an outdoor sensor. Pretty sturdy, well made and does the job it supposes to do. I believe it covers bigger range compare to indoor sensors. I hope it comes as white version as well and bit cheaper in future.
