    I had been looking forward to owning a shaver for awhile as I hate shaving. First, I tried it dry. It worked well on my face but gave me bad razor burn on my neck. So then I tried it wet, with shaving cream. It took an excessive number of passes to cut the hair on my face and after about 4-5 minutes of running it over my neck I gave up, re lathered and shaved with a razor. Not only did it not cut, but it gave me even worse razor burn on my neck wet than when dry. It also provided a very inconsistent cut across my face. All in all I would avoid this product. I was also very disappointed that Bestbuy would not refund the cost. I consider a product that doesn't do what it says it will to be a faulty product. In future I will shop somewhere with a better return policy.

    The real reason why I bought this model is because it's the only shaver in the Philips line that has heads that pivot 8 ways. My face is very angular so I need that. However the high price is also because of the cleaning "vat" and charger/dock. Normally the cleaning vat/dock would be no problem, however the photos are not to scale. The actual size of that vat is HUGE compared to the razor. I cannot, in good conscience leave that out on the cabinet in the bathroom. Seriously it's the size of a small desk lamp or a bottle of wine. How their marketing team came up with that photo is mysterious but it's definitely not to scale. Having said that, the actual shaving part is excellent, tons better than my previous Philips and megatons better than the Remington I've been using for two years.


  • Worst purchase ever!

    I purchased this item on the BestBuy website and it was fulfilled by Worldbond BestBuy Marketplace. When I opened the package (box) there was no internal packaging. Everything was just jumped in the box and it was rattling around. That was my first impression that this was a really bad purchase, considering the Vendor asks that the item be packaged in it's original packaging before returning it. However I kept it. The product is only 6 months old but by the 2nd month all of the printing on the frontside of the shaver was worn off (looks really cheap) the Manufacturer's name the ON button printing had worn off. Now looking at the product there is no Brand name on the front as the printing has rubbed off. As far as the shave is concerned, it takes forever to get a decent shave. The blades heat up so quickly and it burns my face leaving it very sensitive to the touch. Trust me it takes about an hour to get a reasonable shave plus the razor burns. Now I use regular blades. What a waste of money.
