A good match for Fibe TV...

I hooked it up via ARC (HDMI) to my Samsung 51" plasma TV in the very restricted space on top of my dresser in the bedroom. The Dolby sound decoding is very effective through the 5.1 connection, especially in the Sports (also news etc.) and Movie modes. The sound is surprisingly full and surround-like for such a small unit. I haven't bothered hooking up a Blu-ray player, partly due to the lack of DTS decoding - which I consider a significant omission. Also the CEC (HDMI "handshake", likely due to the TV being two years old) tends to drop the Dolby signal on startup and I need to go into the Bell menu and change the input to stereo and them back into 5.1 to recover it. Perhaps an optical connection from the Fibe receiver would eliminate this, I haven't tried. For music it is not so great, not a lot of stereo separation.
