- Good, not great- April 10, 2014
I bought this to match our new TV stand. My girlfriend wanted black and this fit the bill. According to the specs, it held more DVD's than the others in it's price range. I have a HUGE Blu Ray collection and felt this would work. It took awhile to assemble, longer than the TV stand from the same company. It arrived with a few dings but a touch up pen came with it. My only negative is the shelves. This was CLEARLY designed 10-15 years ago when people still owned VHS tapes and CD's. I ended up wasting valuable space because the designers didn't plan for the future of BD discs. Also, there is a catch on one of the doors to keep it closed that's a pain to manage. Still, my girlfriend likes it so it's a win for me.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Good but not Great- January 19, 2011
I love the look. I love that I don't have to see the movies. It was a little difficult to put together...instructions weren't all too clear. You have to be prepared to drill your own holes for the locks. You have to use the locks or the doors won't stay closed. I don't like that you have to use a key to turn the lock. I had DVD's across the tops shelf but the lock for the second door is so close to the dvds that you can't easily get the door unlocked to open it...so it actually does not hold as many movies as it says it does...much less. =(No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
- Decent Storage for Price- January 18, 2013
I bought two of these as a means to store my extensive DVD/Blu Ray collection. It is an attractive unit at a fair price and met my needs in terms of capacity. I was disappointed to find that the unit requires a large amount of space on both sides to accommodate the wide swing of the doors. The doors themselves have shelves and have a hinge that is further inboard than one would expect giving the doors a very wide and very deep swing. The wood scratches quite easily so it is a good thing that the cabinet comes with a touch up marker to fix any scratches you put on the surface. If you need a single unit and have the space for the wide-swinging doors, then this is perfect for you. However, is space is at a premium, you may seek another storage option.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
