- amazing webcam- June 11, 2020
i really like how the Razer Kiyo shows in terms of camera. i had the Logitech c920 HD and i really couldn't get over the fact that this Razer Kiyo had a light and the other did not. i would take pictures to test out the quality and id always be happy with this one than the Logitech. if you're looking to stream, this is an amazing option! i would recommend this more for people who don't have great lighting in their room like i do, it really helps out!!!! its one less thing to buy later on and its adjustable which is really nice. you can have it zoomed in on your face or out further, just go to its settings. i really recommend this thoughYes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Very poor microphone quality- November 30, 2020
The video quality, light quality, ease of use, and software it comes with is good (not great). However, the microphone quality on this webcam is garbage. I put my old $30 Logitech webcam right next to this one and compared the microphones, and the Logitech one is significantly better. The Razer's microphone is very quiet. At normal talking level I get an input level of 15%. So, I sound very quiet to others. The microphone is also very stuffy sounding and not clear at all. Since I don't want to spend more more money, I now have to have both this Razer webcam and my old Logitech webcam hooked up so I can use the Razer for video and the Logitech for audio. No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
- Disastrous driver updates make product unusable- July 22, 2021
Purchased this product in January of 2020. Worked, more or less, like advertised, with sharp imaging, relatively wobbly autofocus, but reliable throughput. Over the past 2 months, each driver update makes the product unusable. Auto-focusing has stopped working - image is blurry and frozen. Tried to change to manual focusing, but the camera does not respond - it is locked and will not change from a useless, blurry view. Technical support is absolutely unresponsive, insisting on toggling over to manual mode, which DOES NOT work. Will just throw this in the garbage and move on to Logitech. I've learned my lesson! No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
