I bought this "fancy shmancy" mouse last year and it lasted about 10 months. Got this well known click drag issue. Constantly wants to update (why?). Not worth the hassle.

  • No longevity

Have had this mouse for about six months. Until recently it has performed excellent, but now the two thumb buttons go sticky and can be very difficult to actuate. I can work them in for a bit and get them almost back to normal but the cycle repeats every time I sit down at my PC. It will probably get worse. For a premium gaming mouse with a solid reputation I expected much better.

Bought one of these on sale during the Black Friday.About a week in of use the mouse began to feel less responsive, until it died completely (laser failed). Luckily the in-store warranty was valid and I exchanged this for a new Death Adder Elite. I am about a week in of use and the laser is fine, however the scroll wheel is on its way to seizing completely. Currently, it makes a noise equivalent to finger nails on a chalkboard during each increment of scroll. It is unusable now, and I am not attempting to void my warranty by lubricating it myself. Luckily I bought a 2 year replacement plan, and will swap this for a satisfactory mouse of similar value. The mouse is accurate with great response time. The sensitivity buttons are a nice feature. However, aside from my gripes with the quality, I am once again horrified at the side button placements. For anyone with thick fingers, I would avoid this mouse like the plague. You WILL be hitting buttons on both the sides of the mouse by accident. In general, all the buttons are too 'light'. and would likely click if you turned on a room fan. Previously, I had owned 2 other Death Adder originals, and well they are stylish they are not made to last the way I use mice. My Mx500 was the best mouse I have ever owned, and was way better.

  • Awesome Mouse, terrible (Razer) tech support

from Surrey, BC on January 21, 2018

I bought the Razer Deathadder mouse today to match the keyboard I bought around Christmas and love the feel. The reason for my low rating is not based on the hardware, but based on the worst tech support I have ever gotten in my life. Both, chat and phone support were not able to help me install the mouse on a MSI laptop running Windows 10. I love how the mouse feels but not being able to configure it because Razer is not able to develop the necessary software means that it's best to return it. It's a shame because the hardware and design are excellent.

mouse wheel started squealing about 1.5 months after purchase. probably just needs lubrication but I expected better from Razer

  • Best mouse ever

With this mouse you get what you pay for a great build that will last you years. Razers great 16000 dpi sensor is over kill but if you want the best of the best This is for you. The light is bright enough and the build is bulky.

  • Fantastic Mouse

I have had no issues with it. It feels great and all of the buttons feel so smooth and work well. Such a large DPI range enables the user to use any sensitivity that they are comfortable with.
