First razer Keyboard

First Razer Product! So far I am happy with it, the keys are low profile and it requires quite a bit of adjustment to use. I am still adjusting. The keyboard is flat and not coo contoured. The stands on the back of the keyboard bring it to a nice height to use and type.

First time with Razer

As the title states, this is my first razer product. It definitely is the best keyboard I've had in my 16 yrs of life. I highly recommend this keyboard for its amazing features and its really fair price.

  • from Surrey, BC

very good

The keyboard feels very light when touched and besides the led lights adds the slick effect. would definitely buy another razer product with the same led color light. Recommend to friends

Cheap but good at the same time

although it takes time to get used to it because the keys feel kinda inverted or no the usual keyboard, it meets my gaming expectations. and beside the led lights are simple but sick.

Don't like it.

The hardware is semi passable for me. The layout and size is not bad, but the key feel still and kinda cheap. I am really used to scissor keys and this keyboard feels cheapish. But the worst of all is the software side. I gad issues after reconnecting the keyboard, sometimes it would stop responding, sometimes asked to reboot the machine, was loosing settings, firmware updates would not install... Support kept telling me I need to reinstall my Windows 10, while I had zero issues with many other USB and wireless keyboards and mice. Pretty blech if you ask me.

Razor Deathstalker keyboard

this keyboard is amazing for gamers. The designated gaming key is perfect when playing games like Call Of Duty Black Ops III and GTA V. I love the lighting feature so when playing late night gaming sessions to see the keys.

Awesome keyboard !!

I have used alot of keyboards over the years. I wanted a gaming keyboard and bought this. To say it has impressed me , would be an understatement ! Beautiful layout, quick key response, and I love the back-lighting !! I bought the mouse to go with it and both perform better that I expected !! I would highly recommend this keyboard and the Mouse too !! :-)

This is a great type of keyboard, I just got it today and its amazing... The only problem I have with this keyboard is that the keys have a little too much grip. It makes it hard to type documents and other stuff but thats probably because I just got it today so it will wear out over time.

Not so nice!

Like many other customers, I was wooed by the "DeathStalker" brand & pretty green lights until I started using this keyboard! It is the least ergonomic keyboard I have ever used! Its unnecessarily super thick & that makes the wrist rest totally useless! Keys are not comfortable at all & are spaced too much apart (unless you have massive fingers). Unlike better keyboards, you must hit the keys right in the center otherwise corners stick. My only advise is don't get fooled (like me) by cool LED lights & fancy fonts, there are way better keyboards out there like Logitech K750.

Works well, slightly overpriced.

Pros: Backlighting Macros Quiet Looks nice in a Razer setup Compact Cons: No dedicated macro keys Keys too far spaced out Slightly overpriced Low degree of incline. The Razer Deathstalker is a midrange USB membrane gaming keyboard, with adjustable backlit keys, a gaming mode, and ability to record macros. It is easy to use, quiet, and usable in the dark. I find that the keyboard does not incline enough for my liking, but most users would find it comfortable. if you are used to typing on a laptop, the keys will feel familiar, but more spaced out. The main problems with this keyboard are its macro functionality with lack of dedicated macro keys, and I believe it is ten to twenty dollars overpriced, but if you found it at a boxing day sale I would certainly pick this up. Overall rating: 85/100

Pretty Decent Keyboard.

I came into bestbuy looking for a keyboard with lighting to make it easier to see in the dark. Well, it worked. The only real issue I could find with it is the Key strokes can be very short. Other then that, great keyboard.

It's okay, not great.

I bought this keyboard a while back on sale, and honestly it was pretty good. Some people are saying it's kind of hard to type, which isn't exactly the case, but you do actually HAVE to press harder than you normally would with any other chiclet keyboard. Besides that though a few months later it stopped working, because the cable wasn't sturdy. I was using it in place of my broken laptop keyboard, so I had the keyboard on top my laptop keyboard (disabled laptop keyboard), and over time I guess since the cable was being bent a little on the left it stopped respodning, and honestly that was the manufactures fault for not making a sturdy cable made to bend easily without breaking. I requested to get a replacement from Razer, and things went pretty smoothly, got confirmation and everything, but I had to ship them the keyboard which I was too lazy to do, but the point is I could have gotten a replacement. So, I guess it is worth it, but be careful as its not as durable as it seems.

Great Keyboard

After searching for a decent gaming keyboard that was non-mechanical, I stumbled across the DeathStalker. It had all the features I was looking for and was a good match for my Razer mouse (DeathAdder). The keyboard has a great feel, the low-profile key caps are nice and smooth and it's a relatively quiet board which is nice. The media functionality is all there and the backlight is great for darker rooms. Although not really an issue, I do wish they made the cord with the same no-tangle material as their mice. It would be nice if the price was lower but I feel as though I will get my monies worth from this keyboard.

keys don't work properly

the keys do not work as they should. For most of the keys you need to push down harder then you should need too.

Very Good Keyboard for Gaming

When I First opened the box and took the Keyboard out I Thought it was surprisingly nice looking. Things that I like about it are the hand rest, the length of the cord, the way it looked, and the fetchers. so over all it is a good product.

The BEST keyboeard in my opinion

This is the best keyboard. Before, I had a problem that was to accidentally press the Windows button which put my game in hold well now no more. The customizable buttons and the maccros help me a lot. Plus With the cool design and the hacker green color I impress my friends when i show my gaming station. Thanks to Razer the best gaming/computer/peripherals company in the world !

Great but not super great

After a few weeks of use I can say that I really enjoy using this keyboard, both for gaming and for normal use like typing. My gripes are as follows: I thought the palm rest was detachable (it's not). I wish either the FN key for secondary functions on the F keys was on the left side or that the volume keys were on the right side so I could easily change the volume with one hand. Some games don't recognise that the FN key is pressed so using the extra functions is troublesome for those games (Bioshock for example). The black keys will start to show greasy blotches like your smartphone screen once you use it for a while. Worth the money, especially on sale on Boxing Day. ;)

solid keyboard but keystroke is really short

overall..quality, build, aesthetics of the keyboard is excellent. as a gaming keyboard, it is great....but for regular typing, the keystroke is really really short. so i have trouble typing on it when i have to code or type long documents.

Responsive, Quiet, and Backlit

Being the owner of multiple Razer, SteelSeries, Logitech and OEM keyboards I've been running through them all trying to land on one that meets my current needs of working stiff and not gamer anymore. The long push mechanical keyboards are just too bonky to type extensively on, too loud to use for extended focused periods but have awesome back light controls etc. The "business" and consumer keyboards are often too compact, terrible back lights and uncomfortable. After spending way too long on the google machine researching and about 45 minutes opening boxes and testing them all in store I settled on this beauty and have to say, its awesome. Sounds great, not too loud but still a solid stroke sound. Great feel while typing, nice layout and spacing and the back light is perfect. Only thing I could ask for more is control of the color like my SteelSeries but that's really just me being picky. Great keyboard for anyone picky about fit, sound, and features.

very nice

very nice keyboard altough it is plastic it still is worth the money

  • from Toronto, ON

Really awesome

This keyboard is really amazing. It really isn't that great for typing because the keys don't stick out that much and you need a little more force than usual to press a key. The legs on the bottom work really well and keep the keyboard from sliding all over the table. The green backlit LED keys look really cool and are adjustable which is also nice. The keyboards also comes with Synapse 2.0 which lets you mess around with the settings of the keyboards such as the lighting and macros.

Razer DeathStalker

I really like the performance, price range and the wrist rest of the Deathstalker Gaming Keyboard but there are some flaws, one of them is sometimes when i hold down shift to type or to sprint or some other action it does not respond (i.e when typing i have to press really hard to make a capital) other then that its a really good Gaming keyboard and i recommend this to Gamers everywhere keep up the awesome work :)

I bought this keyboard cause it was on sale for like [price] and it works great! I get alot of beaks for it not being mechanical but other than that i have no issues. Keys are fully customizable and i love it

  • from Toronto, ON

Great Keyboard!

I've been using this keyboard for a little under a month and so far I'm very pleased. I was able to get this on sale and it works just as planned. The chicklet keys take a while to get used to but are very easy to use. All in all I would recommend this product. Only con is I wish they used braided cables like they do on their other higher end products.

  • from Trenton, Ontario

Superb Performance from a Slim LED Gaming Keyboard

I do professional photo and video editing and am quite fond of slim chicklet-style keys for both typing and gaming. I find the keyboard to have a solid construction when held at the sides. The keys themselves, while they felt a little stiff at first compared to my Macbook Pro mid 2010 model, i have found the keys to also feel incredible well made and solid, while at the same time retaining full functionality with modern gaming functions. - Brilliant LED lighting (green and can not be set to different colours) - Solid construction throughout - Anti-ghosting and gaming mode is easy to engage through hotkeys - Beautiful design and aesthetics, keyboard is an eye catching matte black with a gloss black wrist mat that is subtle and effective.
