Overview

This shield reduces unwanted RF energy outside the intended beam from reaching the antenna and radio keeping the radio focused on signals within the radios coverage area. As side-lobe gain is an inherent imperfection in antenna design, the heavy-gauge aluminium is designed to attenuate both inbound interference and outbound transmissions in all directions outside the central lobe.
