  • Great Addition to Spotlight Cam
Verified BuyerReviewed by DaREALMastaD - July 27, 2020

I purchased the solar panel to avoid charging the Ring Spotlight and that has yet to disappoint. I use the solar panel along with the Ring Spotlight cam since the area where it's focused does not have the possibility of being hard wired. I've had the item since 3/9/2020 and I also travel and have been able to view this camera without the need of charging or being hardwired. I would recommend purchasing the Spotlight camera if you have an area where you are not able to hard wire along with the Solar Panel. I haven't had an issue with the solar panel charging the Spotlight camera and has maintained the charge throughout the past 4 months.

  • Not so happy
Verified BuyerReviewed by Happy - January 29, 2021

I live in the Northeast and the summers are beautiful and lots of sun. Winters months nasty and not a-lot of sunlight. That being said, my solar panel has not charged my product since November. We are in January and i am changing my battery every 2 weeks. the app shows that the solar panel is connected and i periodically will wipe (clean)the panel but there is not a lot of sun light to charge the cam. It is inconvenient to go out and change the battery in 18 degree weather with snow in the forecast. But when i purchased during the summer months, I loved it. I never had to change the battery. The Solar panel did its job.

  • Does Not Charge Ring Stick Up Camera
Verified BuyerReviewed by mookie - November 13, 2020

Unfortunately this solar panel did not charge the Ring Stick Up camera that I bought with it. Over a week of sunny days with the panel on the roof with open view of the sun, the settings on the camera set to medium for most things, the battery continued to drop each day. Worse yet, there’s no real way of telling if the panel is doing anything. First day it was seen as a power outlet source. Second day it was only showing a lighting bolt in the battery. The rest of the days, in the morning when light hits the panel, the battery level would jump to 100%. When the sun went down, the battery level went back to lower than it was before.
