- Excelent HDMI Coupler- August 3, 2015
I work as a Professional AV Tech. Owning a small Sound Business. I've used many HDMI couplers only to find most of them to be of poor quality. In the industry, we try to use the right length of cables with the appropriate combination of ends. HDMI to HDMI, HDMI to DVI, Etc... To reduce the risks of signal loss and to avoid another possible connection that will turn to failure. I really like these HDMI couplers made by Rocketfish. They are robust. Not to bulky like some couplers and I've seen them outperform other couplers when having issues with Signal loss. With HDMI being a Digital signal. It's very sensitive to interference.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Perfect for wall mounted TV- October 5, 2019
I have a TV mounted above the fireplace and have all the wiring routed through the wall to an AV port. The problem is that all the cables are HDMI with male connectors and I needed to plug in a streaming device that normally plugs into an open HDMI port. This HDMI coupler made it easy to connect it to one of the pre-wired HDMI cables and I had the streaming device up and running immediately. It is a solidly built device, and while it may be a tad pricy for what it does, in my situation it was a lot easier and cheaper than trying to access the the TV or figure out how to run power to the device without ugly cables showing.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Does what it should- March 14, 2012
This HDMI coupler does exactly what you need it to do, extend the length of an HDMI cable...But at a high cost. It is a quality built product with a nice metal housing and gold connectors, but I paid more for this coupler than a 6' HDMI cable. Still, cheaper than buying a longer HDMI cable, 50' in my case, so I guess that's why they feel they can justify the price. It seems to be just a pass-through coupler, because it works with my 3D TV, 3D Blu-ray and 3D capable A/V receiver. Get this if you need to extend a long cable run, it's cheaper than a new cable. For short runs, just get a longer cable.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
