Great TV for the Price

I imagine there are better 4K TV's out there, but you can't beat the price. It's a solid smart TV at the price point.

Amazing Deal

So I had a 50" Samsung plasma TV before I bought this one and I think it's a big upgrade for me. Very easy to assemble and setup and the tv resolution is AMAZING. I definitely recommend this one.

good picture good sound for price

Hello I setup this tv and played with settings the picture is quite good and crisp. I acutally had a lg 55 inch uj6200 that i got for the same price and exchanged it for this one since the picture on that unit was not great. The Lg had a great 4k picture but not for 1080p content. This Samsung makes 4k and 1080p look great. It also does hdr with my ps4 as Ken mentioned in his review. The speakers are pretty good and great sound on there own. For a basic 4ktv I am happy with the tv and have always been a fan of samsung.

Color uniformity issues

Just got it. First thing I noticed is green and pink tint in some areas of the setup page screen that suppose to be pure white. That's not a good sign. Am going to check a demo unit in the store. Either I have a lemon, or this is considered an economy or lower end model by Samsung where they don't invest much time into the image calibration. Will keep you posted. TV is very elegant and back firing speakers are not that bad. This model doesn't have analogue component input so keep that in mind if you require support for the legacy peripherals. I also noticed that the angle of view is quite narrow compared to other LCD panels I am used to, but maybe it's just me... :) Image processing is quite simple, when I feed it with 720P OTA signal and sitting close, you got a feeling of looking at the color doodle. Full HD and UHD work fine.

All's well except there are only 5 grades for brightness and sound is thin. Also, when connected through HDMI cables and using Bell Fibe Canada, it is impossible to adjust sound quality. It shows feature as "not available." What gives? I miss my old 37" Panasonic. Great picture, great sound.

Great 4k TV

This 4K TV is amazing. The HDR does work fine it just has to be enabled in the support settings not the picture settings. My problem with this TV is its supposed to have the Steam Streaming APP but it doesnt. All 2017 4K Samsung TVs are supposed to have it but for some reason this one doesnt. May return it in January if it doesnt have it by then.

Not true HDR, lack of aux in

Purchased this TV and was initially excited after the set up out of the box. The interface was really nice. I had purchased a PS4 Pro and was hoping to take advantage of the HDR capability for my games. Did some software updates and fiddled with the settings to try to get the PS4 to detect the HDR but had no luck. I also tried to plug my speakers in only to find out there's no aux in port. Digital out is the only option so this along with the lack of true HDR were absolute dealbreakers for me. I returned to Best Buy only an hour after picking it up. Ended up going with a Sharp 55' for the same price and it had both things this one was missing.

Beautiful TV

We received our Samsung 50" today and let me tell you, the picture quality is great, such vivid colours! The television is a perfect size, easy to use, the Smart Hub is great. I love it. Such an upgrade from our previous TV without breaking the bank!

Excellent picture hdr does work on ps4 but only 2 hdmi ports??

Hello so using this tv for a couple days picture is nice. Haven't seen any blur but using primarily with a pc and ps4. To enable hdr for ps4 you have to go into settings in the ps4 and also on this tv go to settings general external device manager and turn on uhd color for whatever hdmi port you are using for your ps4. It took me a bit to figure that out. Also the speakers are pretty decent if you use the optimized setting. Only negatives so far is only 2 hdmi ports for a newer tv is kind of disappointing.

It is true HDR

Don't listen to the guy above saying its not true HDR, you have to enable the HDR feature on a specific HDMI port. I am running the xbox one s at full 4k on all settings. There are two places you have to enable it 1) in the picture settings 2) in the general settings. There is a place for HDR Pure color ( i think its that )... enable that onto your specific HDMI port and you will have true 4k.

Just bought this TV so my PS4 could enable the HDR feature and the PS4 didn't recognised it. If you don't need HDR, the TV is great. Got reimbursed. Thanks
