Great monitor !!!

First off, 1440p while nice, isnt really needed with decent eyes. FPS is king. View this as a 75hz screen. In your GPU control panel, go to display and custom settings (in AMD) select the monitor and set 75hz as a setting and save. Then click on display settings(right click on blank desktop space). Then scroll to bottom click advanced display settings, then select the monitor and click on the only bottom option. In this menu, click monitor then select 75hz refresh rate (Should work fine over HDMI. There now you have a 75hz overclocked monitor and your freesync range is 48-75 now too.

High failure rate. Bad batch perhaps.

We bought 5 of these monitors and around three months in, two have now failed with lines showing up all over the screen. Fortunately Samsung will repair them and pay for shipping both ways, but still not what I would expect from Samsung. According to the paperwork sent back with the monitor, it seems some wiring harness was damaged during assembly and eventually causes bad connections to the LCD panel inside.

Backlight not even, cause colour difference

I bought two this model type monitors, even they are in the same setup and signal s from the same computer, the picture looks not the same, especially in white background area, one of them looks yellowish the other is cold, there must be a problem, I don't know how to handle it.

Great Gaming Screen

Bought this for a second gaming PC in our house. Works very well. Light and thin. The on/off button is in a weird place at the back of the monitor and needs to be pressed once to turn on the on-screen menu and then the button acts as a toggle to move the cursor down to the off position, then press again to turn off. It's a minor issue, just weird. It has an HDMI and VGA connection. Great for older PC's.

Great Monitor

I've been using this monitor for nearly a year now and am very happy with it. So much so that I'll buy another when it goes on sale again. Only negative is that it doesn't have a DisplayPort input.

Whoever wrote that you cannot get VGA to do resolution of 1080p is literally the stupidest person to ever review anything ever The monitor is of very good quality for its cost.

Good product

Very pleased with it. has not caused me any issues well over a year. perfect size for small desk. stable. light. easy to relocate for redecorations. cons: refresh rate is slow. even when changing HDMI channels

best monitor i had!

This monitor is the best for gaming and overall good for anything. Movies, Gaming, FPS (First person shooter) one of the best things I like about this monitor 4ms response time. Its 1080P HD 1920x1080 and overall its a beast for gaming!

100% WORTH IT!!1

I had first purchased the 27 LG monitor that best buy offers and returned it because of the colours being washed out. This monitor is very slim, the colours are vibrant and the quality of the screen is excellent the blacks are deep this is a quality Samsung product.

Speakers would make this perfect

Gorgeous display, fell in love with it but slowly started to see its faults. No speakers or aux port (can't just buy speakers). Only one HDMI and one VGA port which is okay but not ideal. Weird controls on the back which make sense on paper but not ideal in person. Ended up returning it and buying a new monitor with built in speakers.

Samsung 27" 60Hz 4ms PLS LED Monitor (LS27F350FHNXZA) - Black

I love this monitor. It is the best I have ever owned! It worked to my satisfaction right out of the box. I own two large Samsung smart TVs that I am very happy with. That is why my choice was for a Samsung computer monitor.

  • from Niagara Falls, ON

I like it.

The bad: No speakers. The stand has no rotation. Only one HDMI connection. The ugly: Controls are at the back. No remote control. No HDMI cable in the box. One RGB female connection (10 pins). No USB connections. The RGB cable that comes in the box is very short. The good: Thin and light. Good screen. After all, it's just a regular good monitor.

Plan to mount?

The monitor is great except for the vesa mount compatibility. If you feel uneasy opening up the back panel, you will not be able to mount it properly. p. s. I successfully mounted mine and it looks good.

Why a VGA instead of DVI-D when VGA has no use^

If one is going to buy a monitor for HD resolution (1980 x 1080), why would a manufacturer be stupid enough to put a VGA input (rather thah DVI-D which would fit most video cards older than 2 years) - especially that VGA *will never* give you that resolution and you will invest in a monitor which would just use about 75% of its real estate size... TOTALLY RIDICULOUS. RETURNED ! Go for ACER instead which provides the 3 inputs.

Great Deal

Bought during boxing day sale. Hooked it up and monitor suggested optimal setting then off to the races. Being used with day to day computing so definitely meets our needs. Wish it had one more HDMI input and tilt adjustment.

  • from London, ON

Please but disappointed in cable.

This monitor came with a VGA cable to hook up to the computer. Why would an LCD monitor come with a VGA cable and not an HDMI cable? Thought this was almost criminal for this day in age to do that. I had to go out and purchase a proper HDMI cable. Looks great with the proper cable. Other than this, great buy!

Very happy

Jimmy from Montreal doesn't know the meaning of the word "impossible" I found 2 suitable wall mounts after 10 seconds of google-fu, from best buy, so he couldn't have been looking that hard. Great monitor, very happy so far.

Impossible to find Wall Mount for Samsung Monitors

This model is VESA 75x75 compliant, however there's a really annoying hinge stand at the back (right above the screw holes) that we cannot remove. This causes all of the wall mounts I've found in stores and online to not fit....TERRIBLE DESIGN! Why would Samsung put the screw holes right above the hinge stand?!? They should put them near the middle like all other brands such as LG and HP etc I've also reached out to Samsung's product team and they don't have any wall mounts available for this unit. I'll be returning the item.

Decent quality screen and specs are slightly better than advertised here

Quite happy with this screen for gaming and general use. Decent color, no ghosting, adequate viewing angles. Important to note, this screen comes with AMD's FreeSync, despite not being advertised as such here on the BB website! I've tested and verified that FreeSync works with this monitor using an HDMI cable connected to an AMD RX 480 video card. Definitely worth using if you have a compatible AMD video card. Also, the screen can actually run at a refresh rate of up to 72 Hz at 1920x1080 (rather than the listed 60 Hz) right out of the box. The screen I received did have a single partially dead pixel near one edge of the screen, but this was not a deal breaker for me.

Comes with DVI cable not HDMI

I am extremely pleased with the monitor. The picture quality is fantastic and I appreciate the size coming from a 19'. However, Best Buy needs to change the description of what comes in the package. It comes with a DVI cable, not an HDMI. I unnecessarily bought an adapter for my MacBook Pro because of the description when I already had a DVI adapter.

No HDMI cable included

7 Dec 2016. Don't be fooled by Best Buy's "What's in the box" description : THERE IS NO HDMI cable - only a D-SUB (VGA) cable. If you bought this under the wrong description, you should demand an HDMI cable from BB. This is a good 27" monitor, though some people with a tight workspace might prefer Samsung's nearly-identical (and slightly cheaper) 24" model, which puts the same number of pixels into a more compact package. With this 27" screen, you'll want to sit at least 32" (81cm) back for optimal usability. Any closer and you might notice some pixels (which are larger on this 27" than the 24" model, both monitors being 1080p).

Resolution is easy on the eyes

Been using this for a few weeks now and have noticed a big increase in the amount of screen viewing time I can take before my eyes get fatigued. I use this mostly for music editing and production which can be eye straining. I haven't played any games on it though so I can't comment on that application.

  • from Markham, ON

Very satisfied. If you are worried about "pixelation" due to 1080p resolution on a 27 inch, stop. I am sitting an arm length away from it and no pixelation or any other imperfection is noticeable. Colors are great, this is the first monitor that I didn't have to change colors for, I am still using the out of the box settings! Great to game on, It is no 144HZ monitor but it will easily do the job unless you are a hardcore gamer. NO ghosting. I had returned my previously bought "competitor" 27 inch IPS 1080p monitor, and the difference is very noticeable. This is a quality Samsung product.

Highly recommended.

Very pleased with the monitor overall. Colors are crisp and viewing angles are insane, thanks to the IPS matrix. Response time, lack of flicker, eye-saver mode, you name it - this monitor ticks all the boxes! It may not be ideal for hardcore games as the refresh rate is at 60Hz, but for an average joe that does casual gaming, videos, e-mails and such this product will easily be an overkill. The only drawback is that I found a dead pixel one week after using the thing. Decided not to return it, as this pixel is tiny and doesn't bug me at all - guess just got used to it at this point. Shipping was quick and accurate. Thank you, BestBuy!
