not bad for the price

the camera is crap. i bought it for web surfing at coffe shops. better then doing it on a cell phone. havent used it much to really make any points about pros and cons. but for a cheap tablet i figure its the best bang for the buck.

Not Bad

I bought this to have a cheap tablet - i.e. low investment - with which i could travel and not fear losing it. It will work perfectly for that purpose. Its build is stronger than the off brand I saw, and at least for now it is not as intrusive as Fire. It runs my Overdrive library reader, had just enough space to load my music via the card, and so far has played the apps i am interested in - CBC TV, You Tube, Chrome, etc. It has a nice weight, and the screen, while not high res, is sufficient. Using headphones the sound was good. But the cons are these. It is old tech (2016). The Android OS may not work with all programs and it seems will not be upgraded. It takes a 32GB expansion card when the world is moving to 256. On Sale - I would say it fits the role of cheap second or third device well.

you're better off just lighting a hundred dollar bill on fire

Worst tablet ever! Totally useless, slow, no space for apps and even with a memory card it runs like a dial up computer from the 90s!

Great for the price

Screen rotation works but must be turned on by dragging the top of the screen and turning on rotation option. For the price, it does what I expect and more

Why me , seriously

So I bought my son this tablet in April of this year(2017) . After 2-3 weeks son told me it was really warm so I felt it and it was “Very warm” so took off charger (1 hour) and it was 1/4 way charged. This went for awhile and finally in July I picked up and it was so hot that while holding it between 2 fingers the pressure literally pop the led screen into a spider web. So be warned , other issues were lag wen typing and slow response to bring up apps. It’s was my sons first tablet and as an 8 year old I didn’t expect him to realize how slow it was...... gee Samsung extended warranty that covers nothing

Poor Tablet

I'm not having the issues that other are having (no screen rotation what? This was clearly a defect as it does have screen rotation) However, it is not a good quality device. Screen is not very responsive at all, very slow, poor battery life. Please keep in mind that if you buy the cheapest tablet, you 'get' the cheapest tablet. I will be upgrading to the Tab E (not the lite version). My wife has the full version of the Tab E and they are night and day. Samsung should have named this the Tab F-

Great for kids

Bought for the kids to help with long car rides, they use it for kids google games, Netflix and YouTube even when I tether them to my phone works great.

Seems Fine

So far so good but no full user manual so what is up with that? This is the first Android I've ever had so not a pro. Always had Apple. I like it for games and vids and minor stuff.

Good for the money

I have bigger and better Samsung tablets. For the money it is great to cast pics and videos to the TV.

No screen rotation

Bought it today. It works OK but pretty slow. Using it as a eBook reader is OK. But no screen rotation is so unexpected for a tablet. I have to return it.

Worst possible tab ever used. Bought two for my kids. Wifi connection unstable and cannot detect router. Had to send both for repair in Mississauga multiple times and had the same connection trouble after few days. Repeated reset also doesn't fix the system. The android version used in this tab has this inherent problem. Please do not buy this trash and waste your money.

This is a VOT device. Very Old Technology. Horrible display. Android OS not upgradable

Horrible screen. Gives headache after 10 minutes. Hard to view, constantly adjusting to get a crisp angle but there is none. Bright. Yes its bright. Blinding in the dark even after turning brightness down until unviewable. Please note that as in description it is Android 4.4. But also note that it is cannot be upgraded to newer versions of Android. The software is past its prime and no longer supported. Several apps i commonly use on other android devices are not compatible with this old version of Android 4.4. My niece bought it for me for Christmas so I have been forcing my self to use it the last month but i find myself using my mobile phone browser while i wait for web pages to load on the tablet or not load at all. All my other devices work seamlessly and blazingly fast on my home network but i struggle with this tablet to get and keep a WiFi connection. It cannot multitask with data. It updates the apps every time i turn it on and while this happens nothing else can access wifi for the duration which may be 1 minute or 20. I have a 5 year old blackberry play book tablet which has a far superior display and faster internet connections and browsing. Please don't gift this item, that is just cruel. Spend a little more a give something useful. The device may be a cheap solution for dedicated apps such as using it to stream music to the bathroom Bluetooth speakers. I use mine to start my car and works well to display home control apps turning lights on and off. However I don't recommend this tablet for reading or web browsing.

ordered 2 for my nephews for Christmas, not even 2 weeks and 1 stopped working, wouldn't even turn on at all. absolute crap. then had a fight with 1 customer service who said they weren't going to take it back. are you kidding me. so I complained on the facebook page and then phone customer service again and they gladly sent a return label only because of the holidays. like come on people. these aren't cheap. so what after a couple of weeks, its too bad for you.

Bought the tablet for my grandson. Easy touch for the keyboard, speed is OK, nice and compact for holding comfortably in your hand. Just added an sd card to add extra storage for games. Nice colours on display. Would recommend.

Great little tablet. Just what I wanted for my art work. Photos are much better than iPhone and larger screen size good enough for details . Great value for the price but am a little disappointed with the Bluetooth as my iPhone will not connect. Just means have to use email to transfer files.

Too Difficult to use

I may not be the average user; I'm a senior who was just forced to move on from my lovely Palm Pilot. I don't like this tablet. There is no pen/stylus support so you have to type with your fingers and the "keys" are too small so typing is a nightmare of incomprehensible characters and unending corrections. Also there is no "use-able" manual; the online version is too inaccessible and doesn't help me to find out how to do things (and I learned how to use all of my Palm Pilot in two nights). I can't find/get the apps I need for my grocery list and entering even my contact list is way too hard to finish; there are no instructions as to what settings you should use to do what. In short, after a week I have not used it and probably never will; it is likely to go in the garbage or thrift store bag very, very soon.

Works well so far

I purchased this tablet because my Kobo Arc (which is also a tablet) broke. This was only [price] more than the Kobo Glo, which I'm comparing this to, as they don't make the Arc anymore. The Glo is only a reader that has wi-fi so you can download books. This tablet has so much more. I can download books from all the major book apps plus borrow from the library. Also, the screen is an inch bigger than the Glo. So far it's been fine. I've only had it for a few weeks though. I did find the battery does not last long even with the wi-fi turned off. For the price you can't go wrong.

  • from Kitchener, ON

not what I expected

Maybe I just need to get used to this tablet but so far its not what I expected. I don't like the screen resolution its not clear on some games. I haven't used it for a movie yet just a game. Overall performance is ok. It could be a lot cheaper I feel I paid way too much for this product and I got it on sale.
