Not ready yet

It's cool to play with for a few minutes but I wouldn't invest a lot in it. I got this for free with my S8 but I wouldn't be happy if I had to pay for it. - VR splits the resolution in half to produce a 3D image so even with high res phones, it's still extremely pixelated and has poor quality - Can wear this with glasses, even though it says everywhere not to - The Star Wars Rogue demo was pretty cool - The 3D virtual interface is good - Very few apps that work...some of the free Youtube VR videos were so bad, I couldn't even tell what I was looking at It's kind of cool, but I wouldn't spend a lot of money on it - it's not quite ready yet.

Overheats the phone and freezes

At first I was impressed. But then found that it cooks the S7 phone (can't be good) to the point where after 10 minutes warnings keep popping up about over heating. The connecting port feels poorly designed and will no doubt break the charging port (same thing) with prolonged use. Normally very reliable wireless drops out when connected. As proof of concept it's good, but not good enough to risk harming the battery.

Fantastic experience

Received this as a gift for Christmas and still using this quite often and enjoying every minute of it. I was worried it wouldn't work for me, because I have a lazy eye and cannot actually use binoculars because of my condition, however, with this VR headset, I don't have any of the issues I do with binoculars. Unit is very easy to set up and use (minus the installation of each and every game, which is acceptable since I don't want a bunch of junk on my phone and this way I can manage what I have installed). By far, a really great gift!

Not worth

Thought it would be a good vr but nope

Cool but flimsy, cheaply made and constant freezing.

The tracking of your viewing angles is impressive and that's about where everything ends. The product is a little flimsy and will probably destroy your charging port. The software freezes constantly ranging from every 10 seconds to every few minutes (I suspecting because of the poor construction, the physical connection to the mini usb port is intermittent). The free apps are ok but the paid ones are simply not worth the money. This headset and any phone you use with it is purely a demo or proof of concept at best. You will have a similar experience with Google cardboard so if your only interest is to see what all the fuss is about with VR, go that route instead and save your money.

best gaming device

I bought this as a Christmas present for my son. Easily the best gift ever. I spend almost as much time on it as he does. Everybody who has tried it are very impressed. its easy to use and we have not experience any issues with the device at all.

I was really excited to try this out but sadly it really hurts my eyes. The experience isn't that brilliant either considering you can see practically every pixel on my note 5. The chromatic aberration is pretty bad too, white pixels in the centre become multicolored boobs when they're at the edges. I would really recommend trying this before buying it as you can't return it.

Absolutely Awesome

This is my first experience with VR and it is absolutely amazing. The headset is really easy to use and setup. I have brought it to several family gatherings and it is definitely a crowd pleaser. It is almost more fun watching others use the headset than using it yourself. A definite must have for anyone that has a compatible phone.

Great vr headset

Love this new one the field of view still feel the same as the old gear vr set. The added adapters for the headset is great lets it supports older device that dont use usb type c connections. The touchpad would be better if it is at the front or removable because the guests Iet try the gear vr keep touching the side touchpad. Other thing I wish they would improve is the padding fabric. This and older device use some very poor fabric choice that make my noise itch. Overall if you own a samsung phone or any phone that smaller than 5.5inch than it will fit into this device and give you great vr experience compare to other vr set.
