Samsung HW-MS650 3-Channel Sound+ Sound Bar

  • Great product

Great sound from an all-in-one Sound Bar. Vocals are crisp and clear and the bass is surprisingly quite good. Seamless hook up to a Samsung smart TV. Bought it on sale from Best

  • Auto powers off after 5mins

Doesn't sound too bad even though it doesn't have a sub, nothing amazing but better then TV speakers. Problem is it will drive you crazy while it auto powers off after 5mins of no sound. Can you find something to watch on Netflix quick enough? Need to step away to get a drink or go to the bathroom? Quick you got 5mins! I recommend people look elsewhere.

  • Better than Expected

I was a little hesitant on giving up the subwoofer, but having had this for a little over 2 weeks now I am pretty impressed for an all in 1 sound bar. You definitely don't get the deep feel of bass a subwoofer would provide but if you don't have the space for that this offers a good alternative and I like that you could add to it should you want. It synced well with my Samsung TV and is connected via Bluetooth so that's one less wire needed and being able to make adjustments with my Samsung TV remote has also alleviated the need for another remote. I prefer using the Smart Sound option but the Surround Sound option offers the best depth.

  • I love it!!

from Toronto, ON on January 17, 2018

I got this on boxing day. Sound is great, I've got it connected through the optical connection till I get a new TV. Base is good as I live in an apartment and I am looking at getting the rear speakers.

  • High quality sound

from Quebec on October 9, 2017

Samsung's HW-MS650 soundbar might be one of the best soundbars of 2017. It is tremendous, achieving not just a wall-shaking volume but also a quality of sound that you’ve no right to hear from a one-body audio product. FOR: Fantastically powerful sound, Physics-defying bass handling, Supports lots of sources, No external subwoofer necessary AGAINST: Slightly limited stereo effect, price is unfairly high, It's a bit too tall for some TVs, No Atmos support

  • Great all-in-one soundbar

from Brampton, ON on September 30, 2017

For those seeking improve the sound from the TV while minimizing the clutter, this is a great option in its category. Note that there is a 50 hour or so listening break in period after which the sound quality improves further.

  • Firmware and wifi

Also just wanted to add that firmware is set to auto update when you connect the soundbar to your wifi. No need to fumble with USB updates etc. Easy.

  • Very good soundbar

from North York, ON on August 14, 2017

This soundbar packs a nice punch. Perfect for a condo since there is no separate subwoofer to annoy neighbours. The unit itself has decent bass so it should satisfy. The soundbar is now able to decode DTS with the current firmware which it wasn't able to do on launch. Another bonus is that if you want to add more bass later on, the Samsung Sound+ W700 wireless subwoofer can be synced without worry. Enjoy!

  • lacks features

from la la land on July 20, 2017

sounds ok but lacks bass i have heard better from all in one solutions such as the Fluance Ab40. the MS650 does not pick up high volumes on explosions in certain movies & sounds dull. the sound is to front heavy do to the lack of angled drivers. you cannot reset this soundbar as like other samsung products to UNIT you also cannot update the firmware via USB like other samsung products, you need to use a dongle where the wifi speakers go. smart mode is the only good thing about this product as it does a good job of bringing out the dialog and optimizing the sound it is also well built and does not feel cheap. i was happy with the fast shipping by best buy and will be ordering from them in the future but it wont be a samsung.
