- Great product, easy to install.- January 19, 2017
Used this for a 75" TV, approximately 90 lbs. Really easy to install, clear instructions, came with way more parts and hardware than needed, no extra trips to the store. Installed in less than 30 minutes. Get a stud finder & make sure to hit the studs with the lag bolts. It will be a very solid installation. I was going to get a flat mount but decided on the little bit of tilt and maneuverability this setup allows. Really glad I did. Cables are easier to install and the slight tilt down makes for better viewing. The only minus is the unit is a little pricey. Very premium, though and all of the optional hardware in the kit saves a lot of time.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Poorly Design Wallmount- December 17, 2020
The Rocketfish is truly one of the best wall mount I have ever used but too bad they don’t go past 75 inch tv. So I got a 75 inch Sony Bravia HDTV LED XBR 900H and this wall mount was a major disappointment. It will constantly lean to the left and at first I thought this was a defect but no. We had to put a kabob stick. Yes as silly as it seems to keep the tv from leaning left or slanted. The installation was done correctly. I also had this problem on my second same wall mount. This is poorly design and it has these two cheap plastic pulleys. Rocketfish has theses lock mechanism. Use a kabob stick and it will stay in place or it won’t lock! No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
- Track gets stuck when sliding, feels risky- November 2, 2020
Installation of the product was easy enough and I had an easier time hanging the TV (final step) than other models I've owned in the past. HOWEVER less than a month after actually installing the system, the track that the arms slide on feels very shaky and the arms get stuck when trying to slide the unit left and right. It often feels like the arms are going to break off, and the amount of force needed to move the arms past "stuck points" makes me worry i will damage my very expensive new TV. For the price of this unit, I simply wouldnt be able to recommend it to friends. I should have paid the extra and gotten a unit with an extendable arm.No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
