  • Perfect Multiplayer Game

I've been playing almost a year and I love it. The game itself is enormous with tons of things to do and see, but it is NOT a fast, action packed game. In fact, the biggest downfall in the game is that you need to have at least 2 to 4 hours to play each session to actually accomplish goals. It is a perfect blend of multiplayer and story line/grinding games and was a great way to ease myself (solo RPG lover) into the multiplayer world. It is much better played with friends IMO, but it is definitely soloable. All items and upgrades in game are cosmetic, so the only upper hand one can get is from hard work and playing. Developers continue to update the game and add new content at a fairly leisurely pace.

  • Myst with Handguns you never shoot.

I've been playing since it came out on Gamepass for a dollar, which was almost immediately after beta. I bought this after wanting a physical copy to get off their subscription service. There's a lot of water in this game. Most of the items and weapons are cosmetic and plays like a nerfed fps; sniping battle game this is not. The riddles arent bad but the memorization for the islands is a bit steep. It's mostly melee battles against skeletons, solving riddles and finding chests from maps or using the compass and lantern to walk paces to dig up things. It's not a terrible looking or difficult game, it manages to get a big audience of all kinds of people of all ages. This is like Myst with Handguns you never shoot. I don't invest a lot of time into this;the time I do spend I happen to enjoy with friends.

  • Worth the 80 doubloons

For a game where DLC is included it's a great price. Couple highlights Ship mechanics are fun, adjust the sails, load the cannons, bail water when the seas are too high or it's raining. The riddles are fun although generally not too challenging. The content is a little sparse but there are a ton of mechanics on their way (i like what it launched with). Sailing the open seas and seeing another ship. You're never too sure if they are manning the cannons or about the serenade you on the high seas. You can make enemies or friends in this game. The graphics are great on a One X (looks good on the Xbox one as well) If I only had to complain about one thing is how much time you get sucked into it. I've been playing with my son and 3 hours passed by without even noticing it.
