Sennheiser PXC 550-II Over-Ear Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headphones - Black

Sennheiser is well known for having the best sounding headphones / earbuds on the market. Honestly these are no different! These headphones are super comfortable; making them great to commute or simply have long use sessions at home. I have to say that unlike any other pair of headphones, these do not cause my ears to sweat as much as other overears do. After 1 month with them, I can say that these have better sound than any of my other headphones. While they lack when it comes to their apps equalizer, they can be tweaked a decent amount. Albeit I find myself enjoying them best when set to their stock EQ or their "club" preset where the bass hits harder! Finally, ANC. I have to say that these headphones block out a ton of noise! They are especially great to cut down people's voices! I find these do the best job at cutting off ambient chatter. And while I would like to abstain from saying they struggle (not by much though) to cut down low rumbling sounds, they can at times. I have a pretty loud A/C unit in my room and can discern it more so than ambient chatter when in public. Overall, if I have to point out a negative it would be the lack of USB-C and proper hardshell case, other than that; if you want great sound from a comfortable pair of ANC headphones, look no further since Sennheiser have you covered with these bad boys!

Pros: Terrific ANC and very well-balanced audio. These are made to perform in every genre of music, and it’s awesome for movies and podcasts as well. Cons: Not a huge gripe, but would love some work on the Sennheiser App on iOS. Lots of glitches and funky controls. The charging takes a fairly long time to complete, and the battery drains quicker than other models such as Sony/Bose. Verdict: Fantastic ANC headphones from Sennheiser. Great for easy listening and even some more demanding tracks. Would love some improvements on the app, but these are fairly priced for what you’re getting. *Breaking them in after purchasing is a must.

As expected, the sound quality of these Sennheiser headphones is amazing. I can hear every note in every type of music. What I don't hear is any background sound. The noise cancelling is impressive - even when there is no music playing. The over the ear style is very comfortable, even while wearing glasses. Controls are easy to use. The app is a bit finicky but is not needed for everyday operation. A quick search on Reddit showed me how to adjust the side-tone so I can hear myself when on a call. The battery life seems to be pretty good so far.. Overall, excellent sound and silence...

Great headphones, I'm biased though because I really enjoy the Sennheiser sound. The build quality is top notch they feel premium soft comfortable materials. Audio quality is top tier with a balanced slightly forward sound signature. Emphasizing vocals and mid frequency instruments such as guitars with crispy clear highs and decent bass not a ton of bass with these though. Also compatible with aptx codecs but no usb c which is inconvenient. The touch controls work great I was initially hesitant about touch control but once you get used to it it is easier than buttons.

First I prefer Sennheiser sound better than Bose, but my priory was a headset for working from home conference calls. In this respect this model is the best I have found. They pump the sound of your own voice thru the speakers so you can hear yourself speak. This can be adjusted with your computer's control panel. Oddly the manual did not explain this and I wish the app allowed me to control it. I increased the level from the default setting. Connectivity is pretty good but not as refined as Bose. Likewise comfort is very good, solid like serious audiophiles, but light enough. Mute on the earcup is very useful since Bluetooth allows you to stray from connected devices. Bose did not have this.
