Black outs

Tv blacks out watching/playing 4k videos after a week

Soap Opera Effect is annoying

The Sharp Roku TV is really convenient because Roku is built right in but the soap opera effect is really annoying. I can't get used to it.

Worth every penny

Well worth every penny!

I'm impressed

I bought this TV back in November when it was on sale for 499. And I have been quite happy with my experience. I am on my second sound bar for the TV as I'm having audio syncing problems but I'm pretty certain it has to do with sound bar and not the TV. Anyways I can't complain at all as it has HDMI (ARC) capabilities from one of the ports which is super handy.

Budget TV

I kept this TV for almost 3 weeks. While the 4k is fairly clear, the color palette is very muted. After I took this back, I hooked up my 1080P Samsung again and the colors where so much more vibrant, albeit not quite as clear. This TV does support HDR but it barely makes a difference, it never really "pops". The difference between this TV and my older high end 1080P isn't enough to make it a worthwhile purchase. I am going to go with the Sony, big jump in price buy hey how long do you have a TV? A long time.... Might as well be happy.

Sharp 55" 4K UHD HDR LED Roku Smart TV (LC-55LBU591C)

We had this unit for a month now, and I must say that it passed my expectation so far. We had a 37in. same brand before and it works perfectly until now, ( that was 8 years or so by the way...). We just hope that this one will last and perform as it should be just like the other one that we had. By then, we'll be more than satisfied. thanks SHARP for keeping up with the standards. BEST BUY did a good job by selling it! ;-)

Great TV

I bought this unit on sale back in October, and it has been great. Love the Roku free TV feature, and the 4K hockey games are great to watch. Really nice picture, easy to get around with controller. Would not hesitate to recommend, even though I wasn't all that jazzed about buying a Sharp brand TV.

Great Tv

I bought this TV on sale on Black Friday and I was worried it might be lower quality. The picture is fantastic and the apps are easy to navigate and have had no issues with it. The only problem I've encountered is that I needed to get a wifi extender to ensure flawless streaming. My router is 2 rooms away so I was told this is not uncommon with any Smart TV, but it seemed the tv was the only item that couldn't connect two rooms away. Overall, it had everything I was looking for, Smart TV, 3 HDMI ports, size, HD, lightweight. It was super easy to set up. I would recommend this TV

My first time with a 4K TV and wow, love it. I've been watching Planet Earth on this and its a completely different experience. I couldn't go back to my old Sony Bravia after this. Found it on sale and well worth the price. Easy set up.

Is there any reports on sharp model 55 n6003u smart aqous out there

  • from Calgary, AB

Surprised by the quality

If you can get this on sale I highly recommend it. The picture is better than I expected and seems well made. It also has 3 4K HDMI ports, not one (a lot of budget-friendly 4K TVs have 1 4K port and 1-2 non 4K ports). It has everything I wanted, and while it may not be "true" UHD HDR, the picture on 4K programming/movies look absolutely amazing compared to 1080p. Great looking TV for a living area as well.

Sick Tv!

I got this on black friday sale for my in-laws... I thought it was a cheapass 4k tv because I dont really trust the sharp brand. I was dead wrong, this TV is awesome. Pictures are sharp, 4k is nice. Even tho its 60hz refresh rate, the picture quality has me hooked! I should of bought it for myself lol.

  • from Ile Bizard

Great bang for the buck value!!

Nice TV

Easy to set up, and good picture quality (Cat7 cable connection to router). Sound quality ok, but great when connected to surround sound amp via digital optical cable. Roku interface is seamless. Recommended!

  • from Toronto, ON

anyone know the word VA (vertical alignment) this tv is all over it. good luck if you like being able to move your body atleast once an hour.

  • from Windsor, ON

Actually surprised!

I purchased this TV a couple weeks ago. I got it when it was on sale for a great price. I thought it would be a cheap 4K with a meh interface....It's not, I'm surprised by this TV. Picture and sound is great, the Roku work flawless and is super fast. I'm sure there is the people out there that will complain about the sound or picture, but for the other 99% of the population it's a great TV. I would recommend the TV to family and friends.

Great buy for an entry-level 4K TV

I purchased this TV about 2 months ago on sale. Initially i thought it to be just the cheapest 4K panel you can find and was not expecting much. Honestly after using it for 2 months now, i really enjoy the picture quality and roku capabilities. Roku is really fast compared to other smart TV OS. Also i believe the display quality for a TV is something that varies by personal choice. Once you are watching your TV regularly, you get used to the picture quality and display. The 4K HDR content via youtube on roku is stunning and the sound quality is also decent, although i have a sound bar. overall for the price ( on sale) this is a great TV. But if you are planning to buy it for the full price, i would suggest consider other options as well. 3 HDMI ports may not be enough for may users.

Second Tv

So I bought this TV on sale for my wife mostly. She just loves the ROKU on line capabilities, You Tube and Net FLIX. My other TV is a 75 inch Samsung Smart. The smart capabilities of this TV are superior to that. Usually watching Netflix and you tube the picture is transferred via WIFI. The ultra HD is pretty darn good. I am actually shocked at the good picture quality it delivers via wireless. I would buy this TV again.

Extremely Happy With This Purchase - 55" Sharp LC-55LBU591C TV A++++++

I have used this 55" Sharp LC-55LBU591C TV for a week now and I am extremely happy that I bought it, especially at the sale price. I was a little worried that a TV at this price would sound awful and the picture may not be too great but I am pleasantly surprised that the sound is great and the picture is sharp and beautiful. I run movies and watch Netflix with the sound coming out from my receiver but I don't always want my receiver on when I have cartoons on for my boy or am watching the news etc so the TV speakers were important to me as I have found that some TV speakers really bother my ears. I am super thrilled that I made this purchase. I highly recommend this TV as it gives phenomenal value in my opinion. Hope this helps.

  • from Thunder Bay, ON

Great picture & sound. Only complaint is ROKU. Does anyone know how to turn it off. When I turn the TV on, I want to watch TV. Not Netflix or some other stupid program.

  • from Edmonton, AB

Set it up and it had a great pic and decent sound Streaming video was a bit choppy even though I have fast internet Noticed a white mark on the screen and it turned out to be a cracked lcd Took 20 min in line to return and with the pile of them there I decided to Take the refund instead of exchange for another one.

  • from Kitchener, ON

FAR better than expected

I bought this TV on sale, had to wait to receive it as they were out, but after buying it I read some of the negative reviews on this site, combined with the poor quality video demo Best Buy had at the store I was wondering if I made a bad purchase. I actually feel like I stole it. The 4K quality is stunningly gorgeous, the blacks are deep, the colours are bright and well balanced... I can't say enough about how happy I truly am with this. I have an HD receiver for my TV and watching games was a whole different experience as the TV improves the picture to get as close to 4K as you can, if you don't already have a 4K receiver.

Nice TV

No complaints. Better than expected.

my TV screen is smashed to bits in the box and BB won't even answer their phone

TV was dead on arrival, screen was smashed inside the box. No sign of any outside damage. Not really sure if this is something BB should be responsible for but it is the Saturday after Black Friday and of course stocks are low everywhere and the stores aren't even answering their phone so I can make sure they have one to exchange it for. In any case I wanted a written record of this online to refer to in case of return timelines being tight. Hopefully they will make this right.

  • from Pickering, ON

Deep blacks and great colors overall. Having hdr makes everything look so much better and having the built-in apps is so useful if you don't have a 4k streaming device.

  • from Montréal, QC

The TV is ok

In general the TV is ok, I really don't like it while playing with my XBOX one S The resolution is too big and the curves are not good. Motion was activated and game mode was added

  • from Stoney Creek, ON

Great TV

  • from Brampton, ON

Great value

Easy set up. Great picture quality. The tv is in our basement so the wifi wasn’t the greatest. Installed a wifi extender and now the tv works perfect. Great buy.

  • from Surrey, BC

Great at first sight but could not take it

I like the picture quality and simple interface as I was looking for simple tv without much "smart" features. Unfortunately, the first one I got has obvious white cloud issue. So I exchanged for another one, it didn't have the same issue but it had vertical lines problem. Knowing the problem will only get worse, I just have to return it. I am not sure if I should give another try. Given it's low end tv with such good price, I know I cannot expect too much but its quality is just little lower than I can accept.

Super Value

I have had nothing but delight setting up and enjoying this TV! I have hooked up an Apple TV and Playstation via HDMI with zero issues (though one of them needed a little wiggle before it showed up). Application switching is fast and menus are intuitive - wonderful and simple but fully functional remote. Good picture quality overall with lots of customization, and I'm incredibly impressed by the sound quality of the onboard speakers. The screen size is perfect for our fairly small living room, and though I can see a small contrast falloff as you move off-axis, it's nominal. The only note is that Netflix is "hard wired" through a button on the remote, but YouTube is NOT. There seems to be plenty of interesting content available through the Roku interface.

  • from Montreal

Major defects

This TV cannot catch the signal to my cable box or kodi through HDMI at all. It can only read Roku through HDMI connection. No wonder they sell it with 45% reduction.

  • from Kitchener, ON

Love the picture!

I picked this tv up after returning a Toshiba model I just didn't like. The differance was like day and night. The picture quality is outstanding and the set was easy to hook up. The Roku interface works well. I am using the tv wired and not with wifi as we don't use wireless devices in our hoime. Everything works flawlessly. Price is great..even though this model has been out for a while this was a 1000 dollar plus set.

  • from Hamilton, ON

Not hdr compatible

Bought the tv for the hdr expecting it to work with my Xbox one x. Not HDR compatible with the Xbox one x, very disappointed with the hdr feature that is very limited on this tv. Going to be returning this tv

  • from Brossard, QC

Great TV, good purchase

I got the first one with problem on home screen. It was disappointed. Exchange a new one next day and everything is perfect. Good buy and strongly recommend.

  • from Barrie, ON

Quite Impressed so far

I picked this up on sale after I was checking out a few brands and decided that for the price this would be a good fit for use with Xbox and Netflix. It sets up very easily, the picture quality was better than I expected. I would highly recommend it as a great value 4K. The loss of the star is due to the weight and depth of the unit. I decided to use the base supplied vs wall mount as it would look too chunky on the wall.
