good entry level tv !

Upgraded from an older model Sharp Aquos to this one ! Great value for the price especially on sale at BB !! colours are bright and sharp and whilst it's not the top or medium line from Sharp - it's does it's job sufficiently well ! I just wish it would default to TV mode when turning on instead of the main smart TV/Roku splash (or perhaps I just haven't toyed with it enough in the 3 days since buying it). Also wish the bottom legs were a lot closer together (centered) and it over stradles my entertainment stand and toes outward. The old Aquos line had a better and compact tv stand. Anyways it's a good choice for those who don't want to splash more bucks than necessary on top of the line ranges from the panel makers.

Pointless reviews. Anyone can write here. Do more research before buying anything.

Soap opera effect

Pros: Tv is what I expected, price was good, picture is nice, Roku interface is good, setup is easy and all that. Con: Personally I find the tv has the "soap opera effect" which you can't really remove since it is using the Roku interface. You can reduce the motion to low in the advanced settings "motion smoothing" but to me it still makes movies feel kinda cheesey. I don't know call me old fashioned but for a 2017 tv I would think they could have solved this annoying problem by now like some of their competitors.

Excellent deal

Got it few days ago, so far I’m in love with it. Excellent image quality, operating system is very fast and good, remote that comes with it is nice. Nice frame rate. Was a bit of a pain to set up roku the first time setting up, but other than that highly recommend this TV on sale.

Very impressed with this TV

For a budget model TV this unit is fantastic. The viewing angles are extremely good. The brightness is more than enough for a brightly lit room, and the sharpness and upscaling is at least as good as other more expensive models.. I always calibrate my monitors, and this unit was as close to perfect as I have experienced. After adjustments, the sharpness was spot on, The white balance and contrast achieved reference quality. And the colors were *almost* perfect. I was able to adjust the blues and Reds to 100% of the raw signal. Only the greens were slightly off, with 80%, and that is nothing to sneeze at. That is a VERY respectable color gamut for a budget TV. Every monitor is different, and uses different video processing, but this is the first time I have been able to set a 100% on ANY TV's color representation. I wish it had been all three of the main colors, but I'll take it. The factory brightness is set too high, but after pulling it down to 50%, and the back light to 80% I achieved a very natural and watchable image. Out of the box, this unit is set to "torch mode". It is meant to grab your attention in the store, but you are going to have to tweak the settings if you are going to live with this image every day. The black level on the TV is VERY good. There are certainly better, more expensive TVs out there with deeper blacks, but for the price of this one, it exceeds everything else in its class. Bottom line, this TV is capable of generating an exceedingly excellent picture quality that you would have to spent 2, 3 or 4 times more to see any better. Nitpicks that didn't affect the score for me. 1. This unit comes with Roku built in. I would have much preferred an Android smart TV, but this is not a deal breaker. For what it is, Roku works very well, and would be a good addition for most users. 2. The speakers are only so-so. As I use a quality surround sound system, I am not using the speakers on the TV anyhow. But some people might have an issue with this. 3. The remote control is small, and rather cheap. It does what it is supposed to do, of course, but I would have liked something larger, and possibly back-lit. I will be upgrading to a universal, programmable remote anyhow, so for me, it doesn't matter much, but for a user that sticks with the original remote, it could prove frustrating. 4. The 60hz refresh rate does not make this TV the best option for 4K gamers. High speed objects depicted on screen can blur or stutter if you look close. Again, I don't really care, because this TV is exclusively being used for movies and TV. Yet I can imagine for some this could be a deal breaker. Overall, I am extremely happy with this TV. It does exactly what it says on the box, and it does it very well. Watching a 4K signal on it was extremely rewarding to see the detail and depth of this image. It also upscales a 1080p signal beautifully. If you are on a budget, you will have a hard time finding a better TV for the money. I know there are better TVs out there, but not in this price point. Highly recommended.

Best Bang for the Buck

I purchased this Sharp/Roku 65 inch TV at BestBuy in Windsor. Great picture and easy to use APPs. ROKU has to be the easiest streaming TV platform to use. Having it built into the TV makes it even easier. Incredible value too at 799.99 (on special).

So far so good

Everything seems to work well the Sharp TV and was easy enough to set-up. Roku and wifi was simple to get working. Quality looks good to me. Appears to be as advertised. No issues so far

Really good for the price

Got this on sale and so far I'm really impressed with it. The picture quality is great and the Roku app is easy to use, i love that you can use your phone as the remote since most remotes suck anyways. It was so easy to set up and delivery was so fast.

I'd give it 5 stars but for the price, it should include the enhanced remote, but you can use your smart phone to do the job but it's still nice to have a dedicated remote for a TV. Excellent picture quality, sound and interface. Good job.

Great TV

It has a simple interface. Works well with HD content. Smooth fluid movement. Like the Netflix integration. Has sound pass through to optical, awesome for my sound bar. Got it a deal on price, so I'm very pleased. And its not a Samsung :)

Solid TV, Looks Great

I got this TV for sale during boxing day for a severe discount and I am extremely happy with it. I'm not 100% sure I would buy it at full price, but if it goes on sale again I highly recommend picking it up. Picture quality is solid, no issues so far.

Excellent Television! but

the tv is great but the specs are misleading as it says it has voice and motion control but according to sharp support I need a different remote than the one that comes supplied with the tv---it should just say it supports them

good tv but misguiding specs

nice tv but specs say it has motion and voice control but after a few attempts to find out how to get it I was told it I needed a different remote than the one supplied with the tv

I love my new Sharp TV!!!

This TV is direct lit so there is no light bleed from the corners and has great black levels. This is replacing my Sony XBR55X800E (2017) which I bought in September and was not happy with due to poor black levels and light bleed. It is amazing how far Sharp has come even while selling off their manufacturing to Hisense. Roku features are unbelievable and really fast. I also really like how the built in Netflix App plays previews for all shows and movies as it really helps you find some hidden gems among their vast selection of content. The TV's picture quality is excellent and supports HDR content very well. If I were to have one complaint it would be that I wish it had one more HDMI Input. Nevertheless this TV is a real bargain and I am beyond impressed with its capabilities and it definitely outshines the previous Sony XBR that it has replaced. Additionally to the guy who complained that there was no stock on December 26th its due to the fact that the sale started on December 24th. This TV sold out in store and online almost instantly because there is a lot of value with a great picture. I cant comment on the sound quality as I have it hooked up to my sound system but I am very pleased there are no audio delays unlike the Samsung Q6 I tried out earlier with my sound system. last of all the remote is very simple and intuitive but what is amazing is its range. I am practically about 20 ft away and the remote is always in range unlike my previous Sony. I definitely would recommend this Sharp TV!

Excellent Television!

i love it! no dead pixels, not even one! i feel like i am watching a theatre screen! its so crisp and sharp. what an excellent tv!

So far, so good!

Just set it up and looks great so far. Might need to tweak the settings a bit to get the picture perfect. In reference to the guy above that claimed he couldn’t get a tv at 6:00pm on December 26, it was because their Boxing Day sale started online on December 24 at 6:00pm. He didn’t read the ad correctly so of course they’d be sold out of this great deal 2 days after the start of the sale. What does he expect....?

Awesome TV - Exceptional Value

Having the ROKU smart TV platform built-in makes this TV a treat to watch. It's very simple to use unlike many other smart-TV's out there. This TV has both Wireless and a directly wired Ethernet connections. Most of the product info fails to indicate it has Wireless capability. Also note. This is a 4K UHD LCD TV with LED back-lighting.

People don't understand that LED is LCD

Some reviewers here give this great product one star because they don't understand how their tv works. LED is the light source, it shines through an LCD (liquid crystal display). So a tv is led and lcd. Don't pay attention to people who obviously don't understand the basics of modern tv. This is a great LED and LCD television at a good price. The contrast is vivid and the refresh rate is decent for gaming.

This is false advertising, fraud, just a scam.

I tried to purchase a Sharp 65" 4K UHD HDR LED Roku Smart TV (LC-65LBU591C) - Only at Best Buy at exactly 6:00 pm on December 26th 2017 and when I tried to purchase the TV online it wouldn"t allow me to purchase one as it said out of stock. I don't understand how it could be out of stock at the exact minnutte it went on sale. I believe this to be some type of SCAM, FRAUD, FALSE ADVERTISING. I am thouraly disapointed and will not shop at Best Buy anymore. J. Vigliarolo, Thunder Bay

"LED but stated as LCD in specs Column?" The Display panel is LCD, LED is in reference to the lighting technology.
